Dear [redacted] ***, Due to the holiday season it get busy with delivers, also having the snow storms we had some delays with deliveries . We service every Monday only due to the fact we service other areas on different days. When you requested to will call the order off our dock it... is protocol to send the request from your place of purchase, we sent an email on 12/28 and a follow up email on 12/30 we have not gotten a response back from your place of purchase. We try our best to accommodate every customer as much as we possibly can. I apologize if this matter cause you any inconvenience. Thank you. CBC Moving

Review: The company was contracted by [redacted] to provide 'white glove' delivery of a sofa, love seat, chair and ottoman. On 7/25/14 the delivery men arrived and brought the set into my home, they tried to intimidate and bully me when I asked about where they were putting the furniture and if they could remove their shoes. They refused to do so and tracked dirt and rocks through my home, and had me sign a form that I did not have a chance to read after they were done. After they left I realized that they had severely damaged my front door and the door frame. There are huge scrapes, wood chunks missing and the paint is damaged. Packaging materials from the furniture were left on teh sidewalk and in the street. I called [redacted] (who the furniture was ordered from) and they said I had to file a complaint with the delivery company. I for the last several weeks have been trying to have [redacted] respond to the home damage, and they finally said that CBC is responsible since they delivered the set. I have called CBC numerous times and left several voicemails. Finally 2 weeks ago a woman named [redacted] at [redacted] (ext. **) from CBC called to say she was going to have a person come out and repair the damage to our door. Then on Friday (9/19/14) we received a letter in the mail from her with the forms that I had signed - but was not the person who completed them - attached. Stating that they would not repair the damage. Not only is this fraudulent since the delivery men altered the forms after they forced me to sign, but the company promised to fix the damage and is now refusing to do so.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a settlement for the damage done to my home and for the intimidation done by the delivery men and fraudulently changing forms that I was forced to sign.

When the driver arrived at the customer's home on 7/25, he performed the delivery. He set the furniture in the room the customer wanted. The driver advised the customer to do a walk around and make sure everything is good with no damages. The customer signed off that it was in good condition. (We have signed paperwork from the customer). We didn't receive a complaint from her place of purchase([redacted]) until 7/31 regarding property damage. We then received a return/pickup waybill to return and pickup the furniture up. When the driver arrived back on 8/1, he noticed the furniture was set up in a completely different room then he initially made the delivery in. The customer insisted that he caused the damage when he delivered but she didn't notate anything. Because our company contracts out our drivers, any possible claim is directed straight to the contractor. The contractor did offer to sand down the dents and repaint, but the customer wanted more compensation. We completed the pickup of the furniture, the customer signed on the paperwork that the furniture had damage but when the delivery occurred, she didn't document any damage. After the contractor offered to repair doorway, she declined. We received an email from [redacted] advising that CBC Moving to contact the customer. I called customer and advised her that I would get a hold of a repair company and have them inspect. I never promised her that it would be repaired. When the delivery occurred, there were 3 men as witnesses and when the pickup occurred there were the same 3 men. We have documents and pictures if requested.

When the driver and delivery men arrived at my home on 7/25 they had me sign a document and initial - stating that I was signing that I had received the furniture that I ordered. They held it out and did not let me read it. They had bullied and intimidated me, and fraudulently did not tell me that I was signing that no damage had been done. When I spoke with the woman from CDC she said that she would have a repair man come fix the damage. I do not want the delivery man, who was aggressive with me, coming back to my house to repair my door when he is not a licensed or professional repairman. I do not feel safe with him at my home, and how am I to believe that he would do the job correctly as he is not a repairman. I have photos - that were provided to the company to show the damage. I would expect them to send an actual licensed repairman to fix the damage their delivery men did. My mom was home at the time of delivery and pickup and can be my witness as to their behavior. This company promised to repair the damage to the door, and now is trying to get out of it.
