In the twelve days since moving into my rental home, I've come to deeply regret my decision to do business with CB properties
The process of settling into my rental home with CB properties has been enormously stressful, disheartening and time consumingMy sister and I thought we'd found the perfect place to blossom into our new careersPrior to moving in, I spoke with our leasing agent (Doyle) about what seemed to be minor issues with the property, such as a part of the fence needing repair, the gate needing a new lock, the master bathroom sink draining slowly, and the patio door being unstable and falling onto my sister during one of several visits to the homeThe agent promptly sent photos of the door to the office and requested maintenanceHe even showed me the editing feature on his phone where he'd circled the damage to the frameI followed up with him frequently regarding the repairs and drove by the home to note progress made, which seemed to be going greatWhen Doyle to
Rental home wasnt ready to move in on agreed dateIt was trashed and moldy and unsecureCancelled move, but they kept all deposit and rent money
My family was scheduled to move in July A list of repairs were given to them days in advance, prior to lease signingAt the lease signing, we were promised that repairs and cleanup was done but none of them wereWe found out on date of move in that, trash was still all in yard and mold was in the dining room due to a leak in the kitchen (mold came through wall)A window they were supposed to had fixed had a piece of plexi-glass in it with epoxy glue (not secure)The glue container was dropped outside the window along with other trash in yardThe fence wasn't fixed and windows were not secureThe home was promised to have working air conditioner and to be getting an upgrade the following weekWhen we were trying to move in, the air conditioner didnt work at all and it was over degrees insideWe had to cancel furniture deliver
CB Property Management is a HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL company! Never will I ever recommend this company this anyone nor will I ever deal with this company again! They wanted money for renting one of their homes and we were told they would work with us to allow us to view this home before we put any sort of deposit on it. We were told someone was living in the home and they would arrange for us to see the home. The next day, the home was not available any longer! Their excuse was that the agency changed locks and they "planned on letting us see the house that day." How did someone change locks when "there were people living there." They were obviously dealing with other clients on the same house while stringing us along! NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! They are crooks!
