help we have to offer. Please stop harassing our company on this matter --------------------------------------------------------------------------------... I am [redacted] and I went on your tour on August 30th in Hilo, HI. We were sold on your tour while getting off of the [redacted] and I'd like to speak to a manager about how disappointed we are with the experience. First off we were made big promises that were not delivered on. I get a salesman has to sell so they use tactics but at the cost of ruining someones only day on the Big Island is just not fair. We were told by a man in his 40's with brown curly hair that your tour prides themselves on giving freedom to their customers and allowing them to explore and have time and not be rushed from place to place. The truth was the exact opposite. We would barely arrive at a stop and have time to take a picture or two and we were told to get back in the bus. Then we were taken places we didn't care for (not just me and my husband but the other group members who were very open about their disappointment as well). We stopped at the library and a statue and for far longer than we should have but when we were places we wanted to be we were constantly rushed. The driver who was an older heavy man would say "Ok we have 15 min here be back to the bus at 1:20" then at 1:17 we were trying to take a picture by a tree and he said "we need to hurry guys you need to get back in the bus" so we weren't even given the promised 15 min. Not to mention that the driver was absolutely rude. Second, we were promised before agreeing to come on the tour that we would be done by 3 pm because we had plans with a friend who lives locally to meet at 3:30. I don't think the bus driver was made aware of this promise because he was shocked when we told him this. We were already on the bus so it was too late to turn back but he said the tour always goes till 430 so we were blatantly lied to make a sale. This brings me to the most concerning part of this experience. We asked if we could pay by credit card and the brunette said it'd be better to pay with cash because we don't have to pay taxes on it but we didn't have cash and prefer to make all purchases with card so he said that was fine. But then the bus driver said the same thing hours later while bringing up the fact that we hadn't paid yet. We again said we'd like to pay with a card (which should be possible if this were a legit transaction) we said we didn't mind paying taxes because I don't really believe in tax evasion. But even after this the bus driver brought us to a hotel asked us to get out and led us to an ATM. He had refused to just let use pay with a card. It got us thinking there's a reason and I'm sure these two men pocketed that cash and didn't even record that we were on the tour (once again...tax evasion). So we were rushed at every stop and weren't able to have a good time whatsoever and spent most of our time in the port on a bus (not at all how we were told this excursion would be). Then we were forced to get cash out of an ATM against our will and completely missed our meeting with our friend whom we haven't seen in 3 years because we had to get back to the ship. This honestly ruined our entire time on the Big Island and due to the hurricane we missed our port in Hilo. I thought you guys should be aware about how your employees are running this business but I'd also like to be given a full refund. This might be difficult seeing as though we were not allowed to pay with card but we do have the ATM transaction with the amount we paid with the date and time stamp. We paid $120/$60 per person. I can send my address for a refund by check or give a routing number to have the money wired. Let me know how you would prefer to issue my refund. Thank you for listening, [redacted]===============================================Aloha [redacted], I am so sorry to hear about your experience. I have handed this over to a manager to try and figure out. We have absolutely no record of you in our system at all that day as our vehicles were already sold out with other passengers. Also you mentioned you paid cash in which our company never excepts. We only book customers via credit card and our prices are 83.33 per person - There are several different tour guides that all work and drive for different companies – When a guide steps in and drives for our company they are given our company cards to hand to customers. However this may have been a guide that has drove for us in the past and for some reason handed out our card and is why you have emailed us opposed to the company they actually were driving for. Also the guy you described does not match who we had on tour that day which were [redacted], [redacted] and [redacted]. There are several cruise ship customers that purchase tours directly from the pier a lot of them are taxis or small companies that usually collect cash on site however we find that unprofessional and will be investigating who has given out our company card when not driving for our company. Mahalo for your email and wish we could refund you, however we do not hold your funds. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

[redacted]Hi , Thank you for responding. Yes there wouldn't be any record of us being there since we recruited in the terminal getting off the ship. Is there a way to see who the drivers were to know if it were them or not. I guess another way to see if it was really with you company would be if you could check who the other attendees were. We were with a family of five the daughters name was [redacted] and the son was [redacted]. I am not sure what the parent's names and the other daughters names were. We were also with a mother and daughter from Idaho. When we got off the ship the gentleman had told us that there were people who didn't show up so that is why he gave it to us at a discounted price. We plan to go through all of our pictures and video in hopes that the van is in a shot and we can get a license plate number. It was a long white van with windows that's all I remember of it. If it wasn't truly your company I am even more worried about the experience because that means they are scammers and probably manipulating other cruisers getting off the ship. I hope you guys are as concerned about who did this as we are because it is very upsetting not only that our only day on the island was ruined but that we were scammed by some very rude men. Please let me know if you have record of the [redacted] family for August 30th in Hilo. Thank you, -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Aloha [redacted], yes the manager checked who drove that day and none of them fit your description let alone there were no open seats to even be filled. All of our customers checked and conducted the tour. Yes I would recommend looking through photos and looking for the company name on the vehicle. 1d[redacted]I don't feel that I am harassing you by trying to get answers. I spoke with one of the attendees from the tour today and he said they in fact paid directly through your website with a credit card. Their last name is [redacted]. Please check to see if this family had made a purchase with your company. This will prove that we in fact were on a tour with C Big Island and not a scammer. I may have been "off" on my descriptions as I am not an observant person so to say. When I mentioned to my husband that the guy who sold us on the tour had curly hair he said he definitely did not. He said it was brown and was done with gel but not curly. I am sorry my descriptions were off I can't even honestly tell you the color of my husbands eyes but I know that I am not wrong to ask you to check your records for the family mentioned above. Please let me know when you have checked. If I must I will ask for a credit card statement from this kind family although I know they are not lying or confused about paying directly through your site. I will also send this and a screen shot of the message between the [redacted] family and myself to prove I am not making this up. Although how could I when I know the last name of the family and I can assure you you will find their names on the reservation that day. Thank you,17mC Big IslandThat name is not on our pick up list and all vehicles were sold out. I checked the overflow list in which customers call us and we book them on another company that has availability - They appeared to have gone with [redacted], which is probably the same company you have went with if you were in the same vehicle. C Big Island
That name is not on our pick up list and all vehicles were sold out. I checked the overflow list in which customers call us and we book them on another company that has availability - They appeared to have gone with [redacted], which is probably the same company you have went with if you were in the same vehicle. It wouldn't technically be called a scam if you were offered a product and joined the tour...even if you were unhappy with the experience They are a company for sure and perhaps they collect cash- not sure - the [redacted] group did not book through the web site as we were sold out but they called into our reservation department. Their contact is [redacted]
