I called C & C on recommendation from a friend when our AC unit stopped working. The repairman was punctual, he really knew what he was doing and was very efficient. He diagnosed the problem within minutes, had the replacement part on his truck, did the repair on the spot and the fee was much lower than expected. He could have probably tacked on some extra services or inflated the bill a little bit since it was so low, but he didn't try any of that, so I will also add "honest" to my description.

I find these people to be extremely rude and non-responsive. They installed our unit and now refuse to fix it when it is broken.

Called this company to take a look at our unit that wasn't functioning (brand new unit placed in 2010). 50-55 min's with the tech trying to get ahold of someone to assist him (as he kept apologizing). I ask, so how much do you think this is going to cost (mind you the only thing he has done was trying to reach someone that knew more about the TRANE unit)? The tech states "Well we won't charge more than $500." My thought, hmm, he doesn't know what is going on with this--he is trying to get ahold of someone to assist him, but he can throw out a figure of $500?!?! Make a long story short, 20 mins later he states "Well your Freon was empty and I found that at some point you had a leak. Your unit takes 11# of Freon. I mis-spoke early with the $500 charge, but you won't be charged more than $550. Freon is about $5-$10 and this company charges $25 per pound to fill. The tech filled the system with 8 pounds ($200). One tube of leak seal (mind you--he had no idea where the leak was...still), a new schrader valve and 2 safety caps = $550. Called to get an itemized bill to break down how they came up with $550. I get a defensive person stating "it's not our fault we couldn't get ahold of someone the first 55 min's. If I had to have every guy know every single ac/heating unit they would have to be 180 years old. I don't have your file in front of me. I will pull the file and give you an itemized break down, but it won't be available until the end of the day."

I would NEVER recommend ARS in Nashville. They were the contractor that Home Depot chose to install our new heating and A/C system. We called ARS around noon on Wednesday to ask for service on our new A/C that was not working properly. We explained that we were leaving town on Saturday morning and since this was a new unit we expected someone would come prior to that time to check the unit. They said they would send someone on Thursday morning. The office finally called at approximately 5pm on Thursday to report the tech was available to leave to come to our house. It is over an hours drive from Nashville to our house, so we agreed that they would come first thing on Friday. By Friday afternoon at 4pm no one had come OR called so I called Home Depot. They 3 way called me with ARS and the man there said that the tech was on his way. Again, no call, no service. They had outright told a lie to pacify me. Bottom line, the tech finally called on Saturday afternoon at 5:30 to report he was ready to come. We were on our way out of town by then, so bottom line we still have a new unit that is not working properly. My experience with this company is horrible and if we had been more familiar with their service we never would have gone through Home Depot because we assumed they only used reputable contractors. Our experience with both Home Depot and ARS has not been one that I would want to repeat. From my viewpoint, ARS is one company that is definitely not courteous or honest and they do not provide the service promised prior to the sale
