At C.CMotorsports Safety is the first priorityTire repair is not something to take lightly and the final decision is made by determining the safety of the repair after dis-assembly and inspection of the tireOnce taken apart and the object puncturing the tire has been removed it cannot be re-insertedThe puncture in the customer's tire was such as to prevent a safe repair, and replacement was eminent regardless of age or mileageThe customer was contacted via telephoneWe informed him of the tire's condition and offered him some replacement optionsHe chose a Metzeler M-in a size to correctly fit his motorcycleWe ordered and installed the tire in accordance the advertized sale at the time and DID NOT charge the usual inspection charges ($113.00) normally associated with a tire repairThe customer was charged for the cost of the new tire only which, if purchased from us, does not include the usual inspection and installation chargesSequence of events: 5/5/15: Customer delivered motor cyle to CC Motorsports with nail in rear tire Vehicle was assigned a work order Customer departed awaiting contact from CC Motorsports 5/6/15: Customer was contacted and advised of the fact that the tire was not repairable The angle of the nail in the tire prevented a safe repair The customer was provided with replacement options at that time He chose the Metzeler M-at the cost of $plus tax and applicable shop fees for a total of $ The tire was ordered this date 5/12/15: The tire was received and installed on the customer's motor cycle In addition to the tire repair we also loosed the oil filter as the customer requested and performed a complete safety check to the vehicleUpon delivery of the vehicle the customer became belligerent, abusive and threatening He asked for return of the damaged tire which we refused to do because our road hazard policy does not allow us to return used or damaged tires to customers He finally departed with the new tire mounted on his vehicle.Under circumstances, abuse and threats such as the customer hurled would be cause for police intervention We did not avail ourselves of this resource Instead we provided him with the best possible service at a more than fair price.Owner of CC Motorsports [redacted]
