THIS COMPANY SOLICITED ME AFTER MY MOTHERS DEATH AND PRESENTED AS IF THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED WAS REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND LAWAFTER PROVIDING THEM WITH MY NAME AND ADDRESS, I REALIZED THIS COMPANY WAS ATTEMPTING TO DEFRAUD MEI TOLD THEM THAT I DID NOT WISH TO PURCHASE A POLICYSINCE THAT TIME, THEY HAVE BEEN SENDING ME BILLING STATEMENTS

dated February 8, 2017. Allow me to first state that I am Sorry for [redacted] recent loss of her mother and appreciate the pressure she is most likely experiencing in opening her mother's estate. Without disclosing any of [redacted]'s private affairs, I can tell the following: On or about December 19, 2016, [redacted] appeared before the Register of Wills for Montgomery County, Maryland in Rockville Maryland to open the estate for [redacted], her recently deceased mother. As part of the legal process, she disclosed her mother's worth at which time a deputy for the State of Maryland advised her that she would be required to post a surety bond covering the payment of any state taxes and court cost required to probate the estate. [redacted] was made aware that several bonding agents could execute an approved bond to Satisfy this state law. [redacted] apparently chose our agency from a list, to execute and post, on her behalf, the required $5,000. Nominal Bond for a one-time single premium of $100. required by the State of Maryland to receive her appointment as the Personal Representative of hermother's estate.WWW.veirs insurance.com Pp2. [redacted] # [redacted]A copy of the bond signed by [redacted] is attached. Further, an apparent irregularity in her petition to open the estate required an Administrative Probate Order to the Court in which [redacted] attested on December 20th of 2016 that she had purchased the necessary bond required by the State of Maryland to receive her appointment as Personal Representative of her mother's estate.To my knowledge, nobody from this office has ever met or has even spoken with [redacted]. All signatures were witnessed at the Register Wills office, most likely before the deputy. After the bond was executed on December 19" an invoice for $100, was sent to [redacted], at the address she gave the deputy, on December 27" 2016. Not until January 30" was a reminder billing sent since it had not been paid. In the event that [redacted] is confused, I am sorry and in the event she is having difficulties, I will be happy to offer her the option of two equal payments of $50.00 each, due February 20th and March 20th, 2017.Copies of mentioned documents have been included to verify events. I have also asked the Maryland Register of Wills Deputy to call [redacted] in an attempt to Satisfy any questions pertaining to this bond she might still have.Sincere regards,Charles C.
