[redacted] arrived earlier than expected. He had a full crew. They checked with me and we agreed on what we wanted. [redacted] confidently went right to work. He likes His business. [redacted] is an Amazing Woman. She fearlessly and skillfully Climbed the tallest trees and groomed the trees perfectly. I could watch that girl work all day. Very impressive. [redacted] informed me when they were getting close to finished and we walked the 12 green ash trees. I asked him to cut a few more branches way up top and it was no problem. They worked all day and got it done in one day.
Review: We hired this company to perform services including removal a very large, dead tree, to trim others in our yard, and clean up debris and haul away all wood. We have a very tight fit along the side of our home into our backyard and expressed concern about how he would be able to bring his materials onto our property without causing damage. [redacted], the owner, ensured us that he could complete the job with very little disruption of our property. We provided him with a down payment after receiving a written contract. First of all, he did not show up when promised and never called to say he would be late, we had to contact him. When he did show up, it was late in the afternoon when he began his work and he worked until after dark, which was not only loud, but unsafe. He never used any safety equipment, like a harness or ropes to protect himself, his employees, or our property. Despite our expression that we wanted as little damage to our yard as possible, he drove his SUV and 2 trailers onto our property leaving many ruts. He broke a split-rail fence on the side of our yard with his vehicle and then broke many sprinkler heads by driving over the top of them. Large branches were unrestrained when they were being cut and broke a garden box and a metal planter. When exiting our yard he broke another fence and got so close to hitting our garage that he dented our rain gutter with his trailer. He stated he would have "a friend" at a fence company fix our fence. He was paid the remainder of the bid price (shame on us!) and promised to return the following day to pick up the remainder of the mess and wood. He did not show up. We have called him numerous times and each time he has an excuse why he isn't here and promised to come the next day and never does. Our check cleared before we could cancel it. He has not responded to our requests to complete the work he is still contracted to do. Our neighbors also hired him and he didn't complete their job and is ignoring their requests as well.Desired Settlement: We would like the remainder of the wood hauled away as paid for and contracted for. We would like our fence repaired by a fence company (not by him or his employees) as promised.
