C & D Tree Service & Landscaping

I used a business card with C&D Landscaping Services to make contact. When I went to write a check, I was told I would need to make it out to Marvin Cn.

The pruning work was satisfactory, but the weeds were not pulled as requested and the raking was not complete. I have had to attempt both facets.

Initially I asked for a price and was told he did not have one, but it would be a fair price. A pile of debris was left on the second day.

The first part was completed from about 12:30 to 2:00 on June 19. I inquired into the price when asked if I needed more work done. $85.00 was the price.

I was not at home when they returned the next day -- was not given a return time when I agreed to more pruning work since that price seemed reasonable enough. Had shown the workers bushes on the side that needed pruned. Had told them anything I can reach, I can prune; I only wanted them to do the ones on banks I cannot do. They pruned 3 that I do yearly in addition to the ones that I did want done.

My husband said they were here a couple of hours and he had loaned them a lopper. Their gas trimmer had run out of gas the previous day. Yet, when discussing the work, Mr. Cn said they had all the equipment and ladders for the bank and the job.

He returned in the evening of 6-20 and sent his son to our door with a bill for $308.00. We thought there was a mistake. My husband said $200 was enough; Mr. Cn said he had to pay his men and the landfill. I made the check out to him for $250.00 even though I had paid 2 people $100.00 the year before last for the same work, which was more precisely done in 2 settings.

Enclosed in our bill was a statement of his from the [redacted] for .58 tons of mixed waste. It was dated May 10th in the amount of 34.22. Our bill showed labor for the 2 days and $38.20 for the landfill. Day 1 was $95.00 but Day 2 was 175.00. My check was dated June 20th, the 2nd day of service.

I told him I knew he had done 3 days work for my friend for $275.00 and that this was not the price I had expected. I said I no longer wanted his services. Have debated over saying something or just letting it go. I contacted the Revdex.com thinking the Revdex.com logo on his truck was just on the truck when he got it and was surprised to find out he is a member with a high rating.
