C & E Auto Upholstery provides poor quality service and horrible customer service by employees and owner, [redacted].
In March 2011 I spoke with owner [redacted] about service I wanted done on my boat. Requested that the carpet, vinyl and (2) boat seats be replaced with new materials. Also needed repairs done and fitting for existing boat topper (replacement of zippers, hole patched, topper hardware replaced, travel bag) and a new travel topper. We agreed on color for carpet, seats, and vinyl. I was concerned that he didn't write anything down during our discussion. I also ordered (8) custom sand bags to be made for portable ice house. We agreed May 1st all work would be done and cost would be $3000 which I paid for at that time.

May 1st came and went and items where still not done. Several phones calls made to business and always got the run around from either employees or [redacted] about when it would be completed. Finally around May 15, 2011 I was told some items where done, but the sand bags and topper where not done (I needed boat for up coming fishing trip and still had engine work needed to be completed) Carpet replaced and looked ok, not the best quality of installation. Vinyl replaced but was only 1 color and was supposed to be 2 tone as originally discussed and paid for. Vinyl on engine cover was still not done, sand bags not done and topper not done. Asked to come back later for those items, and the correct 2 tone color for vinyl would be corrected at that time. I took the boat at that time and came back with it 2 weeks later so they could finish. Weeks went by again and no updates. Called [redacted] 3-4 times and always got the run around about being busy. Finally after a month I returned to get boat. Engine cover was completed, but topper and sand bags not done, and still needed to correct 2 tone vinyl color. I was so frustrated at that point and upset that I didn't get what I paid for, and promises of having completed by numerous dates never happened. In November 2011 I called for when sand bags and topper would be ready and told 1 week. 2 weeks went by and no call. Finally December 2011 I picked up sand bags but only (6) where completed, not (8) as originally ordered and paid for. I was told topper was in storage and they would get for me and call. No call. I called again in July 2013 (over 18 months later) and demanded my topper. Told to stop by and pickup that it was done. I stopped by and major shock that work on it was not completed, topper had mold all over it from being stored in a outside storage container and travel cover was not with it. Owner [redacted] was on vacation for a week so I wasn't able to discuss in person my extreme disappointment. I emailed him and he responded saying he would look into when returning from vacation. 3 weeks went by and no response from [redacted]. I emailed him, and requested a refund of $1500 which was for half the original bill (more than fair I think for my time going to his shop multiple times over 18 month period, and work not completed as originally promised and paid for.) I wasn't interested in him completing anything more for me. Never received travel cover for topper, repairs for topper never completed, 2 tone vinyl work never completed, missing (2) of the sandbags and original work completed was very marginal at best.

Horrible owner to work with that is very unorganized, doesn't follow up on what he promises, and shop is a completely unorganized and a mess.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company as you will be unhappy with quality of work on your car, truck, or boat!!!
