***,s and wanted me to buy it, I told him no because I had problems with their starters, but if he wanted to buy it I would install it but would not warranty the starterHe bought it and we installed itOn 7-6-the starter failed, * ***s replaced the stater and paid to have it replacedOn 5-19-the starter failed again, Mr*** contacted * ***s, they replaced the stated, he wanted me to get O *** to pay for my labor, I told him no I would not do thatThe first I heard of not putting the starter on if he had to pay for it was 6-17-when he called and said his alternator was badHe thought that this was the trouble all along and he wanted his money back for putting on the starter that I had put on one month earlierI told him no

Complaint: ***I stand by what I originally submitted to you:
“This problem with my Pathfinder began last year in July. The vehicle would not start without jumping it. The original occurrence was on July 15, 2015. C & E replaced the starter with a life time warranty part from their parts service. They told me that the starter was defective and a replacement would not be available for weeks, but *** had the part in stock in town. C & E would not use them due to supposed bad blood between them, so I delivered the starter to C & E but this altered their warranty … “if it doesn’t fall off of the car” then you or the customer is responsible for any labor incurred by C & E.“
There never were multiple trips made to his shop. He had my car stranded/held hostage in his shop, without a starter after supposedly installing his parts supplier’s part which he claimed to be defective. The span I had to be without my wife’s car was not days but rather like two weeks.
I stand by what I originally submitted to you:“After going through the next starters *** covered the part and labor charges by me getting the store manager involved. A year goes by and on May 19, we are back in the shop with the same problem/symptoms. After the diagnosis is provided I explicitly told the shop to get any labor agreed to and paid for ***. They replied that I should get *** to pay me directly which I firmly and explicitly I would not agree to that and to once again get your cost agreed to and covered by ***.”I have no idea where he gets July 6, 2015. It is true that *** paid the labor to swap their also supposedly defective starter (the one I brought them plus extras ones after). All these hood winking took place on the date on his receipt or July 1, 2015. I stand by what I originally submitted to you:“He ignored my instructions and performed the replacement without my approval and without calling and asking for my authorization. So my wife paid him or he would have high jacked our vehicle. On June the same symptom started all over. I jumped the car and took to *** and they diagnosed the problem as a faulty alternator. I drove home, took the part off and returned where the part was placed on a bench tester showing the alternator was definitely bad. My son & I replaced the part and have not had a problem since.” I told him before I hung up on May 19, to not do the work on this starter AGAIN without getting ***’s to agree to pay his labor. At this point I did not trust his diagnosis and it was clear to me he thought he could extract payment after payment after payment and I made it clear to that this would not be allowed.What do I want; C& E Services to refund my $for a repair that was not needed or authorized. He is dishonest and the public should know

This last minute response makes no sense.His response doesn’t specify which occurrence he is claiming I checked up on him, July 15, 2015 or May 19, 2016.  The only time this could be true is the earlier date, which would have been a direct result of his claim his supplier was out of the part my car supposedly needed.  There were no other concerns at the time I “brought it back in” since at that time I believed his diagnosis and made it clear I would not authorize him to perform duplicate service on my nickel, which he ignored.  I have never expected something for nothing, but I do expect to be treated fairly and honestly.  This multiple occurring problem/symptom has not returned since I consulted an outside source other than him.  I have already specified why I lost faith in C & E.   I will not continue this “tit for tat” correspondence through the Revdex.com with no additional substance.I see the outcome ending in one of three possible paths; one, C& E Services refunds my $195 for a repair that was not needed or authorized, two, C & E Services accepts his negative Revdex.com report or he can explain himself to a judge.

.[redacted] 1994 Pathfinder was diagnosed with and intermittent starter problem , he was still using the vehicle  when  he checked with O'[redacted]s for warranty and availability of the starter, then he made an appointment with me to have it replaced,  i would have thought he would have addressed  his other concerns before bringing  it back  in as he knew we would not fix it for free.
