Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2017/08/17) */
There are truths in this complaint. It has taken longer than anticipated, it has however gone on with many attempts to correct the missing door. Our company has gotten 3 different replacement pieces, one that arrived broken, the other was not...

satisfactory, and the third also not satisfactory. I have had my crew leaders make three trips to her home to remedy the glass issue. The first being Randy to get measurements from the unit. The second and third being Devon taking glass to install with the homeowner not being satisfied with either piece. The internal stumbling blocks with communication between homeowner and company were never intended. We performed content inventory, pack-out, cleaning, storage, and pack-in to which the homeowner was satisfied. And the trips from our crew leaders to replace the glass door have been either weekends or evenings to accommodate the homeowner's work schedule. We did the pack-out and pack-in on weekends while only billing for regular time. We have had a quote made for the replacement glass that meets the homeowner's requests. It is for a clear piece of tempered glass in either 1/8" or 3/16" thickness to fit the opening. The quote from the glass company is $68.48 (the original piece of glass in the unit was not tempered, but the homeowner requested that the replacement be tempered).
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2017/08/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The company's statement that "(the original piece of glass in the unit was not tempered, but the homeowner requested that the replacement be tempered)" is either its admission that they actually still have the original smoked glass or that it was destroyed by their workers, because the glass in fact was 'tempered'. The company has constantly denied ever having seen the original unit's door. At any rate I would like to move forward. Please, I would prefer the company submit payment to me for a replacement tempered glass door as described and cost for installation. Regrettably, at this point, I am very hesitant to have them back on my premises for the completion of this work.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 27, 2017/10/05) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The desired resolution is replacement and installation cost. The unit was brought to them with the original door installed. I should not have to absorb an installation cost since they are the ones that destroyed, lost or in fact still have the original glass door. Their continued miscalculations and inability to properly install the door after 4 visits is unacceptable. I need to be restored whole - replacement door and installation cost.

We received your response on 10/12/17 by mail. We are confused by your rebuttal. You wanted money for replacement glass and installation, and that is the amount that was sent. That should restore you whole.
