Dear Revdex.comWe are in receipt of your request for response to complaint # [redacted] filed by [redacted] We are happy to fully support any approved warranty claims requested by Authority Garage Door Please know that Dealers, Distributors and Installers of C.H.IOverhead Doors are independent contractors and not agents of C.H.IOverhead Doors for any purpose, and are not authorized to extend other warranties on behalf of C.H.IOverhead Doors, or to modify the terms of our Limited Warranty in any manner C.H.IOverhead Doors does not sell directly to, nor service, the retail consumer ***et Our Limited Warranty is available on our public website at http://www.chiohd.com/garage-doors/warranty, and reads as follows pertaining to rust “C.H.IOverhead Doors, Inc(“C.H.I.”) warrants garage door sections against splitting; cracking and rusting through.”It also states that “this limited warranty excludes: (1) rust caused by damages or scratching; (2) damage resulting from exposure to corrosive chemicals, corrosive fumes, salt environments including coastal areas ” It appears Mr [redacted] ’s home is located just feet from the Atlantic Ocean, so this may have been a concern for our dealer We will review the status of the request for warranty with our employee who spoke to Mr [redacted] , as well as with Authority Garage Door including a review of photos of the door or by conducting an onsite visit Once completed we will communicate those findings to Mr [redacted] and work with Authority Garage Door to help them resolve the complaint If we can be of further assistance, I can be reached at [redacted] Regards,
