Review: I purchased a vehicle from a dealership in Houston, [redacted] on March 5, 2015. I am a resident of San Antonio. The dealership informed me I had to get the vehicle inspected, then mail them the inspection receipt, then they would submit to have my license plates, title, and registration mailed to my address in San Antonio. I had the vehicle inspected the next day, and mailed the receipt the following day. I have called the dealership once a week since the purchase to find out the status of my plates/title/registration etc. Every time I call, they act like this is the first time theyre hearing about this issue. Eventually, they remember the transaction. Finally, 3 weeks ago, they said they submitted everything and my plates are in the mail. I just spoke to the [redacted] in San Antonio, they informed me the dealership did not submit anything and this transaction is not in the [redacted] system, meaning I do not have license plates or registration in the mail in route to my home. My temporary tag expires on May 6, 2015. The [redacted] official stated the car dealership had 30 days to report the sale and complete the process for the sale (submit for my plates, registration, etc.) and directed me to file a complaint with them since the dealership failed to do so. I called the C.J. Motors again after I spoke with the [redacted]. The person at C.J. Motors then admitted that they never had the title to the vehicle, and the auction they bought the vehicle from does not have the title either. Once again, the car dealership sold a car without having the title, lied about it, and the place they bought it from does not have the title. They said they spoke to the auction about the title and C.J. Motors says the auction claims they lost the title.Desired Settlement: These people should not be allowed to own and operate a business. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I would also like to have my title, license plates and registration. The [redacted] will only allow me to have a certain amount of temporary tags.
