In June 2013, I hired the company to take care of my lawn. I agreed to pay $235 for an initial cut (including cutting lawn, trimming shrubs and bushes and clearing weeds, shrubs and overgrowth that had accumulated over the previous year), and $30 for biweekly maintenance. Sometime in October or early November, I called to cancel service as the season had ended and maintenance was no longer needed. Around that same time, I received my monthly statement with a charge for $260 and another for $150. I emailed [redacted], the proprietor, and told him I had been overbilled, but he responded that his crew had trimmed the bushes for $260 and raked leaves for $150. I emailed him back saying that I had never requested any work that was not included in our initial agreement nor did I ever agree to pay anything more than $30. I had never been notified that any such work was going to be performed nor what I would be charged. My lawn is tiny, has very few bushes and no trees, and I never did nor would have agreed to these prices. Mr. [redacted] simply insisted that since they had done the work, I needed to pay him. I asked him to provide documentation for any agreement if he disagreed with me, but he never did. Instead, I recently received a bill for the same amounts, plus a late fee.
