On 11/29/2013 I got involved in a motor vehicle accident at route 280 in Newark, NJ which resulted my car to get towing from the scene of the accident by C & L towing company, C& L towing company are claiming that they're a local business at [redacted] which is almost 5 miles away from where I had my accident, at 11/30/2013 I called C&L towing to get my car back,a lady answered my call stating that she's working from home and there's no way to get my car back before the next day the 30th. she gave me the address for the lot where my car was stored and I found out it was in East Hanover around 25 miles from the accident location!!
I went there and they ask me to pay first for the car, they charged my American Express card $367.71. with $63 for Light towing mileage charges and $27 for fuel surcharge
then they took me to the yard to get my car where I found out that they lost my car key and remote control, for some funny reason they forced the diver door open which results the car alarm to go off.
then they reached the conclusion they need to send the car to the dealer to cut a key and get duplicated remote control.
then I found myself with out a car to use commuting to work and going to doctors to take care of my accident injuries
my husband had to call the police on C&L towing services to obtain a police report about the incident
I had to rent a car from [redacted] that costed me around $170 for a whole week till I got my car back
A week after I called C&L towing to touch bases about what had happened to my car and they told me that I can go and pick it up from Volvo Dealer
when I got there I found out that both driver side door and rare left side door locks are not working and they're the same doors that were forced open a week before at the C&L towing Services storage lot by their employees.
I had a long phone conversation with the owner trying to convince him to fix my car since door locks were damaged by his employees, but he denied me the right to get his car fixed on his company expenses
I looked up the part online and found out it's around $150 each with total of $300 and looking for somewhere between $100 and $120 for labor
