I was charged for service after company was notified of my discontinuing their service.
The company turned it over to a collection agency.
In October of 2012 cmsinter.net was notified I was
discontinuing my phone & internet service with them.
Cable was installed by [redacted] for internet, phone &
TV. Everything was fine except for phone. [redacted]
said that cms had to release my number in order for them to switch it over. That was finally done two weeks later after calling cms 2 or 3 times of the problem.
I thought everything was fine until Jan. 28th 2013
when I received in the mail a bill from [redacted] for $192.08. The client they was collecting for was CMSINTER.NET LLC Too late that
day to do anything. So the following day I tried
contacting CMS. After getting a busy signal for
over 2 hours at 2 different numbers, I called the
collection services. They gave me their contact
number and this was also busy. Finally got a hold
of CMS by using a cell phone. The girl said she
would have to talk with her supervisor. Later the
collection agency called and said CMS was willing
to forgive the phone charges, but I still owed them for internet in the amount of $98.90. I told her this was not acceptable. Told me to get
back with CMS and see what I could do. Once again I had to call CMS by cell phone as always busy by land line. The lady I talked to gave me
quite a run around. Told me I had never cancelled
my internet service. also told me they had billed
me by mail 2 or 3 times, which I never got. They
always billed on line. When I cancelled my service
they closed my cmsinter.net e-mail site down. So
getting no where with CMS and not wanting this to
hurt my credit rating, I sent payment of $98.90 to
[redacted] on Jan. 30th. Also found out
yesterday the reason I could not get a hold of
certain phone numbers by land line. The numbers
I could not get a hold of and they could not get a
hold of me was all CMS customers. CMS had put a
block on my number. This caused considerable
aggravation on my part, my friends part, and also
for [redacted]. They spent considerable time an effort trying to fix the land
line problem.
