The Terminix Houston branch is the most unprofessional and unprepared technicians everI have been waiting since July to get my 2nd follpest control and to date they have not completed the pest control I requested inside my houseI requested they treat my moth problem and place more roach bait which they said it part of the service I pay for and they miss appointments and then they show up and aren't prepared with the materials they need to treat the moth problem I haveI am frustrated beyond beliefThe corporate office and local branch do not communicateRun, run the other way and use a local family owned business instead of this companyI chose Terminix because they are well known large company only to find out it has the most unprofessional technicians ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin was our saving grace with Terminix! We had problems getting scheduled, and Kristin a SrCSR was amazing! She is the best CSR I have ever had the pleasure of speaking withThis lady needs to be the president, and make a whole lot of money for the amazing job she doesI feel like our family is important because of Kristin

I called Terminix in August of because I had discovered bed bugs a couple of months after moving into my home I met with the Salesman Marvin, who was very professional and nice My estimate was a little over $for a day plan although he stated it didn't seemed to be that bad I had my first appointment scheduled a few days later and he himself came out to service my property due to a scheduling conflict Terminix had After about two to three weeks after the first application, I noticed the bugs were still there and called to have someone come back out to apply another application Called them again in a couple of weeks and one of the guys met my brother in law at the home and told him, he did not notice any bed bug activity (not sure if he applied any chemicals or not) Called them yet again and they came out to apply and I my self was told by one of the guys, and I quote "sometimes after having bed bugs, the customer will be paranoid thinking they still have them" So now I'm crazy, I know what bed bugs look like and what the bites look like on my arms and legs Ever since then when I called I made it a point to catch one of them in a container to prove that I still had them, which is ridiculous to me I also told them I did not want that guy to come back to my home It got to where I was calling them every couple of weeks The last time I called Terminix I specifically asked to have a manager accompany a service guy Not only did they not send a manager but they sent me someone who stated they were new to the company This was in November of After his application he stated to not sleep in my room for a day Well I can see why he said that because it looked like he poured so much chemical on my mattress that it took days for the chemicals to even dry before I could sleep on it This was a total of months of them trying to get rid of the bed bugs Had not seen any bed bugs until January of almost two months Although I was told that you have weeks to call from the last time they come out before you will be charged again, I felt that if I called them to let them know they still did not resolve the issue that they would come back out in good faith Now I know good and well that I did not bring more bed bugs into my home in that short length of time I think the week policy should stop because their own website states that an adult bed bug can live for months without food I don't have another $to spend on a problem that should have been resolved with my first $ I truly feel like either they have people that don't know what they are doing or don't care

Communication and obtaining service with Terminix is deplorableWe began service in May Reaching a person to discuss further issues was extremely difficult Using the automated phone system the company has in place is horrible In Mar, we were billed twice for Feb service and our account showed the incorrect service date In May, the automated phone service called to schedule an appointment on Sat, May 23, between 2-May 19, the automated service called to confirmAt 4:p.m, May 23rd I spoke with a liaison, to determine when a technician would arriveThe liaison said the manager indicated we would have no service that dayThis poor communication is unacceptable business practiceI made a complaint terminating further service As of June 5th, Terminix has not inquired about losing us as customersObviously, our business does not matter to them We are extremely disgusted with the company's customer serviceWe do not recommend this company to anyone

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst company I've ever dealt with. Every step of the way and with every employee I've dealt with in the company, from the technicians to the "customer service" on the phone have failed to do their job. I first hired terminix four and half years ago and was never alerted to the fact that I had termite activity in my home. It wasn't until I went to sell my home that the termite activity was discovered. So you could imagine my surprise when I was alerted to thisAfter having terminix inspect and bid the mitigation service for my home, I called into the 1800# to schedule my service. I had to call several times to set up the appointment because every time I called I would be placed on hold and no one would ever return to the line to answerFinally, I scheduled a time that worked for my schedule and the scheduled timing for the contract on the sale of my home, only later to find out that the service never got scheduled. So I then had to work with the technicians schedule and take time off of work, lose money, and push back my contract deadline ( again costing me more of my time and money)When the technician scheduled the time, they asked that I set aside time window from 10a -4p!!!! The technicians left my home a mess with epoxy left all over my floors and front lawn. They also left a half empty epoxy tube in my front lawn. I paid the technician in cash and the payment was never credited to my account. I am still trying to resolve the missing payment issue, and as you can imagine this is no easy task. I've called several times and I get transfer and put on hold for over min. The issue was escalated to a manager twice and I was supposed to receive a call back within 24-hours and no big surprise here, I still haven't received a phone call back. So I continue to call, get the run around and never receive a solution or call back. All I can seem to get from terminix is excuses, poor customer service, wasting of my time and money and a big headache!!! Save your time and money and use another service!!!

I was a long time customer of Terminix ,over yrs and felt they were fair until a couple of years agoI was constantly getting pressure to add additional servicesBy phone, mail and unscheduled service visits that ended up being a sales pitch to add services! I finally caved and added the exclusion service, mainly to get them off my backThis job cost me $and was worth about $It was sloppy and not what I had anticipated from the sales pitch I gotAlso prior to this they were showing up to do my regular spraying on off monthsI was on a quarterly/ per yr schedule and they showed up a month before they were supposed toI believe this was a guise to sell other servicesIn the early days I would get a courtesy call saying when they would come and they always left an invoice so I knew they were actually thereI also had the same service guy regularlyNONE of this occurs anymore! It's obvious they are only out to make moneyThe final straw came when again I had an unexpected visit from a servicemanIt was early in the morning so I did not answer when he knockedBut I proceeded to observe him as he started to sprayHe didn't even do the back yard and
spent about seconds doing the front and side of my houseThis was not enough timeI watched him run to his truck and take off like a bat out of hellTwo weeks later I got a $bill for this sprayI called and cancelled my service and told the service rep about this occurrence and asked that the bill be dismissedHe said he would turn over to his manager but I never received a call back from an actual personThey have now turned it over to a collection agencyI called Terminix again to try to resolve the issueThis time the answer was- it's been turned over to collections and they would no longer deal with the billAfter I told her the notice from the collection agency said I could contact the client she again said she could not dismiss the billI asked to talk to a supervisor and she said she would have someone contact me asapI'm still waitingThis company has become a TOTAL RIPOFF
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE THEIR SERVICES! I will tell everyone I know and post my experience on every site I can think of to warn other consumersTerminix is bad news! But don't take my word for it, look at the almost other negative reviews

I'm a Maryland Terminix Pest Control customerTheir pest control scheduling system has been a problem for yearsI'll be scheduled for a day and time, and without notice they will change it to a different day or time and never tell me about itI'll get a confirmation a couple of days before and the night before of my day and time, and when there's no sign of them I'll call and find out I've been rescheduled - sometimes to a day and time I can't be home so I have to reschedule again and start this whole process againThe techs who come to do my pest control are good - it's the scheduling that's a problemI don't know which of the Terminix offices in Maryland is in control of my location

We recently contracted with Terminix for pest control & during the inspection Manny said they also offer insulationI called my husband & his concern was blocking the attic vents for which Manny said they would be protected with bafflesHe then showed me on the handheld that it's even in their wording, so we agreed on a price & set a dateAfter completing the spraying I signed the handheld & was brought a paper showing what they did that dayThereafter I tried multiple times to get both contracts (pest control & insulation) from customer service, Joe (CHICO Mgr) & Manny but I finally had to call their toll number & they emailed me a copy to send me a copyThat is when I learned that my signature on that day was on a page contract which has a day cancellation clauseThe contract had many items just marked NO on the ATTIC CHECKLIST that I was never asked about so I asked that these be corrected & that took many calls & promises I was even told it didn't matter they would take care of everythingI said I wanted the contract for my protection & said again I want a copy
Two men came today to install the insulation & I asked to see the baffles they were installingNeither man knew what I was talking about I told them about my reassurances & discussion with both Manny & Joe but they said they were not informedI pointed out that if it's standard to use baffles why didn't they have them? Because it's not but they said they could put up cardboardEverything I was told was just to get the saleI do not feel I was being difficult I wanted want I was told I would get & paying forWe then discussed the whole attic & was told they would place cardboard on the other machinery up thereI told them we were not going forward with insulating until they brought the bafflesLater that morning Joe called to tell me that they have done 1000s & didn't need baffles but I said I've only done & baffles were talked about repeatedly & I was told they were getting installedHe said he's terminating the contract then we said goodbyeI feel like I was scammed with the signing of the page contract then with the misleading information given about how they were going to protecting the attic vents
There's nothing you can do for me but I hope this instance will help the next customer make an informed decisionGet your contract asap! Go over it with the sales rep They are a national company I expected better

Terminix purchased the company A*** in The HOA I manage terminated A*** due to poor service and bad billing practices in January Certified mail was sent, and received by A*** terminating their services Later that year, after Terminix purchased A***, we received bills for months after we had terminated services After several phone calls and letters to Terminix I was told that there was nothing they could do about it, because these were bills "in the books" they took over from A*** After explaining the entire thing to them again they asked that I provide proof that it was terminated, which I did I emailed the rep the letters sent both regular and certified mail, and also the signed slip from the postal service showing that A*** had received the termination letter I also emailed the letter I sent Terminix several months prior to the conversation which explained the same thing (The letter to Terminix also included the letters to A*** and the signed slip from the postal service.) The email I sent with those attachments was sent with return receipt requested Outlook notified me that not only did my email get sent, but it was received and opened by the intended recipient I never received a response from that rep Despite all these efforts over the past months I AGAIN received a past due notice from Terminix I just spent another minutes on the phone with a rep and still do not have the matter resolved It has been passed on to someone else who is supposed to call me back Without taking legal action, I am at a loss of what else to do I do not like posting poor reviews, but have tried all other remedies to have this matter resolved, unsuccessfully

The way Terminix conducts business is deplorable, unethical, and unprofessionalAfter months of missed appointments, work not being done properly or not being done at all, and persistent evidence of rodents and insects in my house, the disrespect I received from branch manager, John R***, was the final straw
After signing up for service in June we still had evidence of mice months laterWhen the technician failed to show for his scheduled appointment in September and we still had evidence of mice, I contacted the branch office requesting a refundSince my husband had to seal all of the holes himself because the technicians missed them (or as I was later told just didn't bother to close them) I did not understand what I was paying forI emailed the following complaints to John R***, Branch Manager:
Sloppy workmanship, tripped the wires on my AC unit during their first visit causing it to short out and requiring me to hire technicians to come and repair it
Failure for the branch office to take care of the $discount I was promised
At our first exclusion check up the bait was untouchedThe technician laughed and told me "We must have scared them away." I then proceeded to show him numerous holes leading into the house that they missed during the initial visitHe told me he would "try" to fix those holes but they were "too hard to reach." My husband ended up having to seal up most of those holes himself, because the tech refused to do it
At our second exclusion check up, they did not go upstairs to check the trap in the attic
No one showed up for our third exclusion checkup and no one answered any of my phone calls to reschedule, which prompted me to request termination of my contract
The raccoon fencing was installed improperly and a month lateAlso, the raccoon cage was not removed for over two monthsI was told it would be removed after two weeks
In October, after a week of zero responses to my email, I finally was able to contact the branch manager, John R***He informed me that the only option was a re-inspectionThe company sent a technician to my house without informing me, and when the tech showed up he had no knowledge of why he was sentWe obviously had to reschedule and upon re-inspection in October of 2015, the technician informed me that his previous partner (who conveniently was no longer with the company) had not performed his job and left our crawlspace completely unsealedHe told me he would determine in November where the mice were coming fromCome November, no one showed up (again) for the scheduled appointmentThey called an hour and a half after their time slot to say they were running lateWhen they finally showed up two days later, they told me there was still evidence of mice in both basement traps and they once again hoped to determine where they were coming from next monthFast forward to March and no one ever came to my house again since that appointment in November
In January I submitted another request to terminate my serviceOne of the managers Brian Zanoni called me on January I quickly returned his call but it went to voicemailOver the next two months (Jan8-Mar1) I called both Brian and John over a dozen times and left them both over a dozen messages
After two months of no response, John R*** finally returned my call on Friday March during dinnertimeDuring this conversation he told me at best he could only refund 50% of my money, and that he refused to discuss the service issues with me because at this point, to quote him directly, he was "no longer making any money off me." He also lied to me and said the technicians told him we did not have any evidence of mice anymore, however the last time a tech was at my house he told me there was evidence of mice in two different trapsThen he hung up on me while I was still in the middle of speaking to him
After email exchanges with John, since he refused to answer any additional phone calls, he finally refunded only 50% of my moneyHowever, he was supposed to credit my account for an insecticide service as well because the technician never showed up, yet I received a call a month later asking for that moneyAlso, a technician came to pick up the traps in mid-March and did report they had been untouched, however when I pointed out that the techs had missed several holes leading into the home from an foot bay window, they did not verbally respond
Buyer beware, and do not give this company any of your moneyThere are several other competitors out there that will actually do the work if you do your researchI learned that lesson the hard way

Had them for three years. Hit and miss. Many times late or completely missed appt. The local # goes to another state. Operators could not get ahold of techs.

I have been a customer of theirs for many years. This past summer, during renovations, we needed to find someone to come and take down a hornet's nest asap. My husband called and in the course of that call he was led to believe that it would be cheaper to get a whole year of pest control and the cost was around $240. I was standing next to him when he told me the price and I said sure. I should have double checked when the exterminator came out and we signed a contract but that was not the case. The initial cost was around $240 but then there were additional payments for them to come out and spray about $1 (if that) worth of bug spray and inspect the outside. When I got the bill for the $109 I immediately called to figure out what was going on. In the course of talking to the rep at the 800 # I was told the total price was around $400 and I said well wouldn't it be cheaper for me to pay the less than $200 to make up the difference vs. $109 every 3 months. I went around and around with her and when she told me she was about to charge my credit card almost $500 vs the less than $200 I lost it. She said the system was telling her that was how much it would cost as it was reading it as a new contract or something like that. I said there was no way I was going to pay between $500-$600 *additional* for something she just told me was only around $400 for the year. I had her cancel my service. I then started to get calls about this. I talked to two different reps in regards to this and from both conversations I got that the service was cancelled and that I would not have to pay any additional from that initial $240 payment. Mind you, ALL WE NEEDED was someone to come knock the nest down and we were looking to find out how much that would cost. We didn't need pest control for a year as I think it's a rip off but since my husband said the cost was only around $240 I was ok with it. So here I'm thinking it's all taken care of and I get a call today and they are saying the $109 is going to collections if I don't pay and then she totally negated what I told her about previous conversations. I have no idea where the contract is but I would think the phone conversations in the past would have addressed this but according to this girl, it did not. She did not care what people had told me over the phone. I realize I should have gone over the contract but I don't even remember signing anything, to be honest it was a crazy time. All we wanted was a one time service and we just looking for a quote. I'm sure I could have found someone to come out and do it for about $50. I will be moving my termite service to [redacted] now. I am sure they don't even have a one time service and they are told to push the pest control because it's such a rip off. You can do this yourself for less than $50/year. They want to charge almost $600. The termite plan I think is also pricey considering they don't do anything really once they put the liquid in the ground but I look at it as an insurance policy on my home. Now [redacted] will get my business. I still don't understand why the first rep told my husband it was only $240 for the year and when I called the rep told me it was really around $400 a year. Not once did we get quoted almost $600. My husband NEVER would have agreed to that. We were doing home renovations and didn't have the money for that service (still don't).

This company is committing unlawful practices by using phone numbers and addresses that were not authorized to attempt communication on NON delinquent accounts. Beware they steal this info from payments made on the account and will call, mail and harass those numbers and addresses. They state that it was provided but after testing out the issue we found that there is no authorization button after a payment is made to contact that card info which means there was never verbal agreement. You would be better off with a small local company that really cares about you and your property and not about bad business practices and micromanaging.

I had automatic quarterly service set up with Terminix. On my last appointment, I was working from home on a conference call and unable to answer the door. I witnessed the technician standing in my yard for a minute, and then he sat in his vehicle for the rest of the appointment. He charged my credit card for the full service. I contacted Terminix and they agreed to cancel my account but told me I had to ask for a credit through my local office. I could never reach them so I ended up disputing this with my bank. Terminix is now contacting me for a late payment, I don't want to pay for something that I didn't actually receive, but they threaten to report you to credit bureaus. It won't end!

The sales rep for this company was really eager to sign me up to make his numbers at month end. He called me multiple times in his effort to sign me up for service. After spending $500+ on Pest control I also signed up for a Termite treatment. The agreed upon price was $1,167 and in order to push me to signing up that day he changed that price to $1,000. The only problem is he forgot to actually change the price. Now this company is billing me for the extra cash and I have spent over an hour of my time trying to get them to remove it from my bill. The salesman who was so eager to call me when signing me up, now has not returned 6 phone calls from me over a 3 week period. Customer service has even tried calling him and he won't even return their calls. This is not a company I would do business with again!

I have had a residential contract with Terminix for many years. The prices continue to increase every year, but the services provided stay the same. I called to ask if my account had changed in any way and was told that the company has the right to raise prices. In 2011, my yearly contract cost $220.32. It has steadily increased and now is $297.29. If I had any other feasible choice, I would choose another company. As it is, I will just be bound to the price increases for all eternity and only be able to complain to everyone I know about how Terminix is a necessary evil and not a company with integrity.

I had Terminix come out Friday, Sept 26th. to our apartment for a bed bug extermination, and the service and been outright terrible. It started on Friday, the day of our appointment. It was scheduled between 1 pm and 3 pm. The exterminator didn't arrive until 4:15 pm, a full hour and 15 minutes AFTER the two-hour time slot we were told. I also did not know they were late until I called Terminix support at about 3:30 pm that day. I also had not known our apartment had actually been treated until I mentioned it to our apartment staff at 5:30 pm! Nobody called to tell me they were late, and nobody called to say it was done. This was immensely inconvenient, too, because we were not allowed back into the apartment for another 3 hours after I got home from work just because our exterminator ran so horribly late. Dealing with customer service hasn't been much better.

Karla S[redacted] is the person I've been talking to and she's very untimely getting back to me about anything. She said she'd talk to her boss Monday (Sept 29th) about our experience and we haven't heard anything back other than offering free bed bug covers for our mattress, which does not help since I plan on buying a new mattress anyway. It's had also been a solid week since our extermination and we have not received any reports on our termination like where they found bed bugs, what needs thrown away, or anything else. I called Karla today and left yet another voice mail (my 5th one) to try to get the report.

This experience has been awful and I just can't wait for the service to be completed. I just want a resolution to all these problems. Nobody gives you callbacks, nobody lets you talk to their manager...this is by far the worst "service" I've ever paid for regarding anything.

About 2 weeks after I moved (and literally got done with our extermination the week before we moved), I got the "Move Out" statement from our apartment. They were charging me an extermination fee because they found MORE bedbugs after we moved! I had to go after Terminix and make them pay the the extermination fee (which they did). Do not make the same mistake I did and look somewhere else for proper extermination.

DO NOT USE TERMINIX FOR BED BUGS! We lost our home. They did not fully investigate our home and spray all rooms each time they came out. He would only spot spray? There was a time when he refused to spray at all because there was a few things in the garage? He would not believe me that my son was still getting bit even after I showed him the bites on his leg. He said we could've brought new bed bugs in from somewhere else? He also said the house was free of bed bugs and it was safe to move back in. It was Not. PLEASE DO NOT USE TERMINIX

In January 2015, I got an exclusion done to prevent the squirrels coming to my attic. It's been a nightmare that wouldn't go away. They been out again in the winter of January 2016 since the squirrels are back. They said they found a few more gaps that maybe the problem how the squirrels were getting back in. But now it's January 2017 the squirrels are back again. I spent thousands of dollars to get this fix but it has not been resolved. I been trying to call customer service to get someone from the branch to call me back. No one seems to have done that. It's been over a week still no one called to follow up with me. Customer service and the product is horrible. When they want to earn your business they will call and contact you immediately. Once they got your money they are no where to be found. Very disappointed with the quality of service and product that was provided from Terminix.

Per the agreement with terminix since june 1 2015, our contract was ,terminix will treat half of the rooms in 1st fifteen days ther half in next 15 days which is 45 rooms and next service they will do common area and breakfast room technician came on scheduled time and done 45 rooms service in 15 to 20 min max SO YOU CAN EMAGINE WHAT HE IS DOING you can not open all room doors in that short of time. then we start having complaints about roaches and insects we call 1 800 number for terminix for 2 weeks every day to come and take care of this issue corporate office can't do much their answer was they email it to regional and some one shoud contact us but for two weeks no one has contacted us we call them every single day, we left them our cell phone and business numbers then they said we have to pay extra for service which is not right because they advertise and their commitment is on their web site
'We'll do whatever it takes to solve your pest problem. Including coming back at no cost, until pests are gone. If you're not 100% satisfied, we'll give you your money back"
will never recommand any one to deal with terminix or will ask others who with them to watch care fully what they does.
