*** that he has high humidity in his houseHis front door is made from a different company and it does the same thing Back patio door also does the same thing, this is proof that the humidity level in Mr***’s home is high and causing condensation, not just his windowsAfter looking at the house, several times and trying to explain to Mr***, we have come to the conclusion that nothing is wrong with the windowsDue to the IECC Energy code, these houses are sealed very tight. We have tried to tell Mr*** to run a dehumidifier, he could also turn on exhaust fans and run the furnace fanWe also got online to get information to help him understand. Construction Supply brought a tester to check the humidity, Amprobe RH meter model THWD-10. Upstairs it was 49.7% and downstairs it was 52.7%. It was 54* the day we were there. If there was a high amount of humidity in the air, whether inside or out, the dehumidifier needs to be ran to draw the humidity out of the house. If there was no humidity, there wouldn’t be any condensation. Again, this has been explained to Mr*** several times by several professionals, unfortunately, it seems he needs more validation. Please find attached more information that has been passed on to the homeowner, a couple of the attachments are actually from Revdex.com. We understand that the report was general in nature, however, it seems that this issue has come up before. CNR Homes has tried, unsuccessfully, to explain the nature of new construction and the moisture in the air, but Mr***, will not take this answer from us, the construction supply company or the representative from the window company.
