Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below each and every time I made a payment or requested paperwork for repairs that were done none was given upon requestOn June 29th, I made the final payment and picked up my vehicle that is when mr [redacted] lifted up my hood which I had noticed that the hydraulic lifts were missing and at that time mr [redacted] had stated to me that he had removed my Mercedes battery which was not damaged from my vehicle and he stated that he would replace it with a new oneMr [redacted] knew the battery was new because I showed him the paperwork and he took a copymonths in the shop the work was sloppy and parts were removed that should not have beenI was patient and courteous each time I visited c and o body shopI decided to file my complaint with the Revdex.com as opposed to court as my efforts to resolve the issue fell on deaf earsAll I want is for c and o body shop to fix my hood and replace my battery as promised by mr[redacted] ]Regards, [redacted]

In final response to [redacted] response why would a person come back to a shop if he always has had bad experiences? I can tell you I will not do work for [redacted] againAs for [redacted] 's opinion that I do sloppy work why would he keep coming backAs for as him not coming back in the shop he fail to say repairs to his truck we did as he was leaving the clean up side he drove his truck into the side of our buildingAlso there is signs posted as per our Insurance Company no customers are allowed in the shop areasAs for safety reason most shops has theseIn his response to the hood I told him it was junk he brought and as for as he leaving it years he could of left it days and it still would have been the sameHe also doesn't tell the whole story on the hood how long did it take repair it but as always it wasn't good enough for himHe came and picked up the hood didn't pay took it to my previous partner's shop and the same story happened there they refused to work with him on any matterAs for [redacted] the repairs to it was a good repair and as far as the talk my painter and I had was that the sides were blended as the manufacturer suggestedAs for [redacted] saying we should refund his money he immediately reversed his credit card the thing he said he would never do getting the work done for free once againBut as you know life is too short and I believe that there are good people in the world and I will still try to help people in every way and others will have to live with their on conscious if they have one.Merry Christmas and have a nice day

To Whom It May Concern: To respond to the claim, we are trying to resolve this matterWe have Ms [redacted] 's battery warranted and now we are trying together hood hinges without having to buy new ones (she would have to pay for new ones) we found a set went and got them only to find the hydraulics were frozen in themWe are trying to locate a pair in good working order to complete this jobWe were hoping when we responded back to you for this letter we would have had all our partsAs soon as we can we will do what we said we would do and put her battery in and replace the hood hingesOnce again we want Ms [redacted] s to be happy but working with used items sometimes takes time, but we will get this done Thank you for your help in this matter, [redacted] C & O BodyShop and Garage INC

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolutionPlease respond here ONLY]I have dealt with C&O Body Shop for many years and have never had work done that did not have to be returned [redacted] always does sloppy work at first in his efforts to get caught up because he never manages his workload properlyHowever, he has always been willing to redo the work and is capable of doing it right, if he sets his mind to itAt one point he had a vehicle hood belonging to me, that he was painting for me and kept it for yearsI finally took it from his shop and had the work done by somewhere elseI stayed away from this shop for over five (5) years and this year I came back to give him another try with the repairs on my Nissan TitanThe repair and painting cost were quoted and not discountedThey did allow me to pay for the parts directly based on my long standing customer relationshipYet, it does not matter what my plans are with my vehicle, they were contracted to properly repair my vehicle, regardless of what I may or may not do with the vehicle laterC & O [redacted] seem to be stating that they will do sloppy and inferior work at the same price of quality work, if the deem it appropriate, based on the customers stated future plans with their vehicleThat is ludicrous! When a customer contracts for quality work, they expect and should get quality workThe repairs on my vehicle were poor at best, until I complainedThen they made the repairs somewhat better, but the paint does not match the original factory paint on my vehicle and now the body shop refuses to do anything about itTo cover up their sloppy work they blended his non-matching paint color on to my passenger-side front door and door frames, which were not contracted to be paintedThe contracted paint areas were the passenger-side rear door, tailgate, and rear bumperThat was all that was to be paintedNow, I have non-matching paint on my tailgate, rear bumper, passenger-side rear door, passenger-side front door, and passenger-side frame areas around the doorsRealizing that they screwed up on the paint color matching, they provided a partial refund on the paint cost for the passenger-side rear door onlyHowever, all of the other areas incorrectly painted, must be redoneThe day in question when [redacted] called him, he disrespectfully yelled from the time I answered the phone until I hung up the phoneI never raised my voice to himThey used my vehicle to haul parts all of the time my vehicle was in their shop (approxweeks)I will provide a photo of lbauto/truck part in the bed of my vehicle, that should have never been placed there! My vehicle was in the shop for repairs, not to be used as their parts truck! (Picture attached) Years ago, I was allowed to go into their shop without an escortSince my return to do business with them, with this contested repair, I have never gone past the office are without an escortThey are not being truthful and forthcoming stating anything differentThe day I took pictures of them using my vehicle to haul parts, I was escorted my their office assistantThe day that I came to finally pick up my vehicle, my wife was with me as a witnessI never raised my voice to [redacted] or his painter who came over to view my complaintMy wife did witness [redacted] and his painter contradicting one another on how much of my vehicle they blended with non-matching paintIt was excessive and uncalled for to blend if you properly match the paint! [redacted] Carpenter's reputation, even among his workers and other customers, is one of excessively long repair times, sloppy work, and promises of repair times It is imperative that C & O [redacted] refund all of the monies paid to them so that I can get vehicle properly re-painted by a quality body and paint shop Regards, [redacted]

When we first met Ms*** she was upset about having an accident and also she stated she didn't like being in Louisville we didn't know how to do anything correctWe get a lot of customers come in that are already upsetWhen Ms *** bought her Mercedes in to be repaired, an independent
insurance company had written her an estimate, They usually write the minimum estimate to get the job started for the insurance companiesWe started repairs and found several issues missed on the estimate for National General Insurance ###-###-#### claim #***.***and called them for a supplement for the items that were missedThey have to approve the additional work that is to done for payment before we can repair themWe took pictures emailed them and waited for approvalWe told Ms*** these things and we have to wait for them to be approvedOnce the supplement is approved we were able to continue repairsWe had a total of two additional supplementsDue to the nature of the accident we ask Ms*** if she had ever had any problems with the shifting and just trying to cover everything to make sure her car was safe and there were no issue missedMs *** got upset that we ask, but we ask a lot of customer's questions to understand their car before the accidentWe also didn't want it to be wreck related and not be fixed or the insurance company aware of the shiftingPlease call the National General Insurance Company they have all the dates and all the documents for this jobThey are well aware of all the additional repairs and have paid us with no problemsMs*** picked her car up on March 9, and paid her deductible and actually told us what a great job we didNot sure what more we could have done for herAlso the main person at the insurance company we always spoke with was *** and his direct line is ###-###-####Please ask them too regarding Ms***'s refund request the insurance paid us direct and her bill was not 4000.002? :Thank you,*** *** Owner of C & O BodyShop

We did repairs on Ms [redacted] Mercedes ML 320 in October 24, 2014 and a few weeks later was contacted that she had wrecked it again. She informed us that she would be paying for the repairs herself. [redacted] (owner of C & 0) gave her an estimate that her repairs would be 4500.00 to 5000.00 and we...

would not be able to even start on it until January, Ms [redacted] told us she did not have the money so that would be fine. January 14, 2015 Ms. [redacted] brought us 1500.00 in cash as a deposit toward her bill. The next time we heard anything from Ms. [redacted] was on March 3, 2015 with a 500.00 payment from her Visa. Asking if we could get started on her car. We worked on it as we had the time and man power to but with the knowledge she didn't have final payment we were not going to tie up parts, manpower and money in a car we were not sure when she would be able to pick it up. On April 10 we received 300.00 in cash and Ms. [redacted] wanted to know why her car was not finished but also requested that we change a few things to lower the cost of the final bill. Then we started receiving several phone calls daily asking when the car was going to be finished along with I still do not have the funds for the final bill. This went on until June 26 when she call and stated she had 1800.00 and could we just finish the car with what that money could buy. Along with more changes in just finish the car. No airbags at her request, finishing things with parts we had to go to junkyards when we could find them to complete the car. She picked up the car and phone calls daily continued about can you fix this and that Things that was not included. The paperwork she is referring to was changed more than 4 or 5 times and the last time we offer to print her one and she left before picking it up (she came by after we were closed on Friday we just happened to be at the office trying to do some work done) We have tried to do everything and then some for Ms. [redacted] and it never was enough, we have tried to explain to her that we can’t run a body shop with maybe we will fix that or no don't fix that it has to be decided and stay that way. Also she would call and if we didn't answer immediately she would call back over and over when we would be on the other line or helping someone else. We tried to help her out and instead she has complained we didn't do enough. The last phone message Ms. [redacted] left on our machine threated us that she would have to get the courts involved we have gone above on her car for the pay and she wants more. We would welcome the courts to take a look at what we did for her and the pay we received. We have been in business for a long time and try to help everyone the best we can, but you can only do so much. As far as us taking Ms [redacted] battery we were trying to get [redacted] to warrant her battery where is was in the accident and that was a favor most shops would tell their customer to deal with that issue themselves, but sad to say you can't help sometimes it will come back to bite you. If Ms [redacted] wants to pay like the rest of our customers and knows exactly what she wants fixed we will work on her car other wise we can't keep doing free work to her car. It’s a shame you can't help someone these days without them wanting more for nothing. Also why in the world would we want her battery?
Desire outcome: We had already started the process with [redacted] on the battery to get it warrant and we will finish that but will take our time making no money at all for this courtesy. We will find her used hood shocks and install them again no money will be made, she agreed to have the hood as it is now. But the seat belts were an item she opt to leave as is to lower the cost and if those are to be address they will have to be paid for and the time to put them in paid for before the service is done. And we ask for her next accident to find another shop to go to for her services.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

To Whom It May Concern:
To respond to the claim, we are trying to resolve this matter. We have Ms. [redacted]'s battery warranted and now we are trying together hood hinges without having to buy new ones (she would have to pay for new ones) we found a set went and got them only to find the hydraulics were frozen in them. We are trying to locate a pair in good working order to complete this job. We were hoping when we responded back to you for this letter we would have had all our parts. As soon as we can we will do what we said we would do and put her battery in and replace the hood
hinges. Once again we want Ms [redacted]s to be happy but working with used items sometimes takes time, but we will get this done.
Thank you for your help in this matter,

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond here ONLY]I have dealt with C&O Body Shop for many years and have never had work done that did not have to be returned. [redacted] always does sloppy work at first in his efforts to get caught up because he never manages his workload properly. However, he has always been willing to redo the work and is capable of doing it right, if he sets his mind to it. At one point he had a vehicle hood belonging to me, that he was painting for me and kept it for 1.5 years. I finally took it from his shop and had the work done by somewhere else. I stayed away from this shop for over five (5) years and this year I came back to give him another try with the repairs on my 2005 Nissan Titan. The repair and painting cost were quoted and not discounted. They did allow me to pay for the parts directly based on my long standing customer relationship. Yet, it does not matter what my plans are with my vehicle, they were contracted to properly repair my vehicle, regardless of what I may or may not do with the vehicle later. C & O [redacted] seem to be stating that they will do sloppy and inferior work at the same price of quality work, if the deem it appropriate, based on the customers stated future plans with their vehicle. That is ludicrous! When a customer contracts for quality work, they expect and should get quality work. The repairs on my vehicle were poor at best, until I complained. Then they made the repairs somewhat better, but the paint does not match the original factory paint on my vehicle and now the body shop refuses to do anything about it. To cover up their sloppy work they blended his non-matching paint color on to my passenger-side front door and door frames, which were not contracted to be painted. The contracted paint areas were the passenger-side rear door, tailgate, and rear bumper. That was all that was to be painted. Now, I have non-matching paint on my tailgate, rear bumper, passenger-side rear door, passenger-side front door, and passenger-side frame areas around the doors. Realizing that they screwed up on the paint color matching, they provided a partial refund on the paint cost for the passenger-side rear door only. However, all of the other areas incorrectly painted, must be redone. The day in question when [redacted] called him, he disrespectfully yelled from the time I answered the phone until I hung up the phone. I never raised my voice to him. They used my vehicle to haul parts all of the time my vehicle was in their shop (approx. 6 weeks). I will provide a photo of 400 lb. auto/truck part in the bed of my vehicle, that should have never been placed there! My vehicle was in the shop for repairs, not to be used as their parts truck! (Picture attached) Years ago, I was allowed to go into their shop without an escort. Since my return to do business with them, with this contested repair, I have never gone past the office are without an escort. They are not being truthful and forthcoming stating anything different. The day I took pictures of them using my vehicle to haul parts, I was escorted my their office assistant. The day that I came to finally pick up my vehicle, my wife was with me as a witness. I never raised my voice to [redacted] or his painter who came over to view my complaint. My wife did witness [redacted] and his painter contradicting one another on how much of my vehicle they blended with non-matching paint. It was excessive and uncalled for to blend if you properly match the paint!  [redacted] Carpenter's reputation, even among his workers and other customers, is one of excessively long repair times, sloppy work, and false promises of repair times.  It is imperative that C & O [redacted] refund all of the monies paid to them so that I can get vehicle properly re-painted by a quality body and paint shop.
Regards,

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below each and every time I made a payment or requested paperwork for repairs that were done none was given upon request. On June 29th, 2015 I made the final payment and picked up my vehicle that is when mr. [redacted] lifted up my hood which I had noticed that the hydraulic lifts were missing and at that time mr. [redacted] had stated to me that he had removed my Mercedes battery which was not damaged from my vehicle and he stated that he would replace it with a new one. Mr. [redacted] knew the battery was new because I showed him the paperwork and he took a copy. 8 months in the shop the work was sloppy and parts were removed that should not have been. I was patient and courteous each time I visited c and o body shop. I decided to file my complaint with the Revdex.com as opposed to court as my efforts to resolve the issue fell on deaf ears. All I want is for c and o body shop to fix my hood and replace my battery as promised by mr.[redacted]  ]Regards,[redacted]

See attachment for original. It is true [redacted] has been a customer of ours over the years and it is true We tried to help [redacted] out by let him buy his parts at our discount to help him save money on his truck, but the rest of his story is quite a bit different than our recognition. [redacted]...

[redacted] comes to our shop often and when he does, he will go straight in the shop by passing the office to talk to our employees all about what they are doing to his car or truck. We have signs up everywhere "employees only" When he came by for his estimate he told [redacted] that he wanted to sell this truck and didn't want to put any more money into it. [redacted] offered the discount cost on his parts with no benefit to us. We let him write the check directly to the parts company. The day he is referring to that he came by was at our lunchtime and we were all at lunch. He left us a very strong hateful letter and told our office person to tell [redacted] it was not meant to be an angry letter. After his letter [redacted] called him to answer his questions in his letter (one - check the mileage on his truck it was NOT used for a parts truck we have two truck of our own that we use) his truck was not ready, but he was complaining as though he was picking it up and we had left it that way. Over the years we have tried in several ways to help and make [redacted] happy we even hired his son when he needed a job. But we are never able to help him the way he's thinks it should go to satisfy him. Nothing we can do will ever help him be happy with us. He even accused us as being discriminating because we told him we would not except his credit card we told him we had been burned by a credit card reversal before and how he was accusing us of different things We were not going to deal with that too. [redacted] came by our shop on Thursday and paid for his truck no questions about the bill and told us he would be back later with someone to pick it up. The next day he came to pick it up and started yelling to [redacted] things weren't right with his truck and [redacted] to try once again to make him happy wrote him a refund check for the paint labor just to get him to leave to be honest. All in all We cannot please [redacted] and he has left our shop before and told us he would be using some other shop and he comes back. But this time we are fine with him going somewhere else. We have been in business for over 30 years and have been very blessed with our customers, but when you can't do anything to satisfy one you just have to let it go, there is nothing we could ever do to satisfy him. We have asked him to find another shop and like him filing this with the Revdex.com we will never be able to please him, but We took our time to respond to the complaint not that it will help would please him. We wish him the best of luck in life, but at this point we wish him on his way.Thank you,[redacted]

In final response to [redacted] response why would a person come back to a shop if he always has had bad experiences? I can tell you I will not do work for [redacted] again. As for [redacted]'s opinion that I do sloppy work why would he keep coming back. As for as him not coming back in the shop he fail to say repairs to his truck we did as he was leaving the clean up side he drove his truck into the side of our building. Also there is signs posted as per our Insurance Company no customers are allowed in the shop areas. As for safety reason most shops has these. In his response to the hood I told him it was junk he brought and as for as he leaving it 1.5 years he could of left it 1.5 days and it still would have been the same. He also doesn't tell the whole story on the hood how long did it take repair it but as always it wasn't good enough for him. He came and picked up the hood didn't pay took it to my previous partner's shop and the same story happened there they refused to work with him on any matter. As for [redacted] the repairs to it was a good repair and as far as the talk my painter and I had was that the sides were blended as the manufacturer suggested. As for [redacted] saying we should refund his money he immediately reversed his credit card the thing he said he would never do getting the work done for free once again. But as you know life is too short and I believe that there are good people in the world and I will still try to help people in every way and others will have to live with their on conscious if they have one.Merry Christmas and have a nice day
