I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11539172, and find the resolution is satisfactory to me.

When I first met the the owner of the property to look at the potential causes of damage he stated that he had a horrible home inspection. There were several spots of globs of silicone in the corners of the roof line and gutters. I Put together an estimate for him. We negotiated a different price....

We did exactly what we said we would do. Unfortunately the leak didn't get fixed. At this point it was December 28th. He reached out to me and sent me some pictures. I was there the next day. Got back on the roof. Caulked all the roof vent boots. That's when I noticed there was no drip edge along that side. Explained that this could be the issue but not going to guarantee it. I even went as far as having my co owner go over and remove the siding all the way up the side of the house along the roof line to make sure that the step flashing was properly installed. It was. After letting him know that it needed drip edge I informed him I would get it done. Not to mention that was never part of my scope of work, but was willing to do it for free. After several trips of trying different things to fix the issue, never once sending him a bill for these trips. He said he wanted a second opinion, And yes I did say 'If that's what you want to do". He finally got his second opinion and let me know that everyone thinks its the drip edge when can you get over to repair everything. I informed that I would do the drip edge, again at no charge. But, I was not going to re-due the ceiling again. At that point he threatened me with court and bad reviews. I stated that I was sorry that the issue was still there. But we did exactly what we said we were going to do in the estimate, and some. 3 extra trips to be exact. Never once thinking I was going to bill him for it. I did feel bad. But once he threatened me that was it. I have attached the revised copy of the estimate that we agreed upon. And it clearly stats that any further damage will have to be done as a change order/new estimate.
