I am rejecting this response because:the quote and the amount charged was not agreed uponThe quote was agreed upon but the amount paid was much higher than the quoteThe thicker oil was not put in until the 2nd or 3rd time we returned the carThe car was not driven over 50miles because The mileage was not 50miles higher and 2.the gas was low low and would have needed to be re-fueled

We have reviewed the complaint alleged by *** ***. It was reported on arrival to the garage that the ***'s *** overheated only once and they had the car towed to the garage. The complaint now states that the car overheated on three occasions. C&P Auto
was honest in explaining to a new customer that we had other jobs in line before their auto could be repaired and the ***'s had the opportunity to have their car towed to another garage. Since it was reported as the head gasket by another garage, C&P requested a deposit on the ordered part. When the engine was dismantled for repairs, it was discovered that the car had not be properly maintained. The engine was gunked up with sludge from not having the proper oil changes performed on the vehicleThe Engine sludge was shown to the husband. The customer opted to have the time belt and water pump replaced as a maintenance item which was quoted and accepted before work was performedIn addition, we also had to replace the VVT solenoids and a coolant sensor which was melted due to the excessive sludge buildup in the engine. ALL PARTS and WORK were explained to the customer and were APPROVED by the customer before the work was completed. At any time the vehicle could have been towed to another facility for repairs if the cost estimate was not agreeable to the customer. Upon completion of the approved repairs, the *** was driven for miles by our mechanics to verify that the computer monitors are reset. If the vehicle had no oil in the engine, we would not have been able to drive the vehicle miles and the fluids levels were rechecked for any leaks after the test drive. The *** was returned to our garage when notified by the ***'s. We changed the oil for free and used a thicker 5/oil to slow down consumption. The vehicle has a oil consumption problem due to repeated overheating issues that were not disclosed to the garage at the initial visit and were not disclosed until the Revdex.com complaint. This oil issue is not part of the initial problem of overheating which has been repaired. All estimates are explained and approved before any parts are ordered or work performed. At any time, the vehicle could have been moved to another location for repairs. We are not adjusting our invoice since it was approved by the customer before the work was completed.Sincerely,Phil M***, OwnerC&P Automotive
