Thank you for the opportunity to respondI very much remember *** *** and her husband visiting our storeHer husband first asked how much the pool table cloth was and I responded That was for the cloth onlyThey later said they wanted my men to do the work
and I quoted if all we were doing is recovering her tableOur travel charge outside of *** *** *** is but because I felt these were nice people I cut that in halfWhen we arrived on site, *** *** asked my men to move her table slightly in the room which they didBecause of the move, the table had to be releveledI did tell *** *** I would refund her the differance between the covering charge and the check she wrote and that was doneI may have shown emotion when she looked me in the eye and called me a liar while other people were in the store but I never responded in a rude wayI have been working here for years and in that timeframe we have never offered a recover with cloth for as low as I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding on her part but I feel strongly I quoted the correct priceIt truly amazes me that *** *** thinks we can purchase the cloth, send three mechanics miles one way and the price only be No one would think that's reasonableIf possible, I would be glad to revisit and reinstall her old cloth, and refund the full amount charged if the cloth is available

Excellent customer serviceBill S*** helped us get a part for a billiard light that we did not buy there Because the original part was not available, Bill took the extra effort to find another one that would closely match what we needed to replace It was amazing the amount of effort he took to find a part for which we paid about $ I can only imagine the effort he and C.P Dean do for their "real customers."

When me and my husband went to the store on November 3rd there was no one in the store and I certaintly never looked him in the eye and called him a liar! It also amazes me how he remembers quoting us these charges. I had not had a pool table covered before so I had no idea of the cost. That is why I asked him about travel charges and any other charges associated with the recovering. All I would like is for him to do is refund the difference of $which he stated he would do on the 3rd. I would like that to happen so I can put this miserable experience behind me

Review: Me and my husband stopped by C P Dean around October 16, 2014 for a price quote on getting our pool table re-felted. The [redacted], himself, helped us and could not have been any nicer. He quoted us a price of $150.00. We asked him a few times if that was all...was there any travel expenses...any other expense associated with this request. He assured us that this was the price. I asked him if he would give me a invoice an I would pay it then. He said no just to pay the installer when they came to my house. We set up the installation for Friday, October 31, 2014. I didn't hear anything confirming this so I called them on Thursday, October 30th to confirm it was still on the schedule. 3 people showed up on the 31st to refelt the table. The installer said that there would be a additional $75.00 to re-level the table. I told him to go ahead thinking it would now be $225.00. After the table was finished I was presented with a bill for $420.00!! The cost to recover the table was $295. plus $50.00 travel expense + $75.00 to relevel the table. The installed said that it hadn't been $150.00 to cover a table in 20 years! I told him that I felt that this was a major mistake somewhere. I went ahead and wrote the Check for $420. 00 thinking that it would be straightened out on Monday. I had been dealing with the over afterall! I went by CP Dean on Monday, November 3rd about 1:30 in the afternoon. I was told the [redacted] was not there but would be back latter and be there untill 5:30. Me and my husband went back by there about 4:30. I told him that I didn't think that the price was correct. He instantly got angry and said the price was correct. When I reminded him what he had said he said that I had misunderstood him. We had not! He said that the charge of $295.00 would stand but he would put a check in the mail the next day for the $75.00 and $50.00 for a total of $125.00 . I said that was fine and I just wanted to put this miserable experience behind me. As of today, November 13, 2014 I have not seen a check.Desired Settlement: I would like the [redacted] to do what he said he would do. I feel like he lied to get my business and then lied to get me out of his store. He said he would write me a check for $125.00 and that is what I want him to do.

That was for the cloth only. They later said they wanted my men to do the work and I quoted 295.00 if all we were doing is recovering her table. Our normal travel charge outside of [redacted] is 100.00 but because I felt these were nice people I cut that in half. When we arrived on site, [redacted] asked my men to move her table slightly in the room which they did. Because of the move, the table had to be releveled. I did tell [redacted] I would refund her the differance between the 295.00 covering charge and the check she wrote and that was done. I may have shown emotion when she looked me in the eye and called me a liar while other people were in the store but I never responded in a rude way. I have been working here for 44 years and in that timeframe we have never offered a recover with cloth for as low as 150.00. I'm sorry if there was any misunderstanding on her part but I feel strongly I quoted the correct price. It truly amazes me that [redacted] thinks we can purchase the cloth, send three mechanics 60 miles one way and the price only be 150.00. No one would think that's reasonable. If possible, I would be glad to revisit and reinstall her old cloth, and refund the full amount charged if the cloth is available.
