C & R Automotive Reviews (4)

We apologize for any inconvenience caused with not being able to move the two safes along with the remainder of the household items, but they were simply too heavy for the crew that was assigned to the job to handle I'm not placing fault on anyone and do not want my men injuring themselves when they feel an item is beyond their capability. We only charged the credit card the additional amount that was agreed to of $and had no intention of charging anything else.As a gesture of goodwill we will refund the additional $charged and hold the price to our estimate of $3,752.15.I wish [redacted] would have reached out to me to get this resolved insted of writing negative reviews on both our website and with the Revdex.comRegards, [redacted] President

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, in regards to the $and $that Mr*** is willing to give us for our grill and other damage, we figure we will not be getting more than that unless we sue, and we don't have that kind of money to retain a lawyer at $an hour, we are seniors and have to bite the bullet, but we would like to give you some facts.First of all Mr*** says he is insulted and takes offense to the comment that his men were gloating about causing damage! well I also take offense that he is calling my husband a lyer, I didn't say they were gloating, I said they were talking to one another that they did damage today to these people, my husband would not say that if it wasn't true, and they were arguing, I'm happy that his men confirmed that was true, but I also take offense about them saying they were not aware of any damage, I take full responsibility for the boxes we packed with dishes and other fragile items, but most of the damage was done to my furniture, a statue lamp was broken, my grandfather clock was broken and I just got an estimate from the clock repair Cothat it would cost $to repair, my mirror was broken, I had to get a new one which cost me $180.00, my furniture was all scratched, the foot on my dresser was broken and they taped it up thinking that we would not notice, our new grill fell off the truck and broke in pieces, and Mr*** says his men were seasoned movers, I don't think so if that is the way they take care of peoples furniture. As far as moving the date because I was in the hospital, it would have cost me another $storage fee, which we were not willing to do. And as far as the refunds issued to us the $was the refund when they moved us from our house to the storage unit, the second was $for the second move from the storage to the new home, money that was already paid to his moving Coand the men brought the moves under the estimate like he said. Like I said we take responsibility for the packing of our boxes, but they were all clearly marked what rooms they should go in and FRAGILE, they just didn't care
Regards,

when they feel an item is beyond their capability. We only charged the credit card the additional amount that was agreed to of $131.68 and had no intention of charging anything else.As a gesture of goodwill we will refund the additional $131.68 charged and hold the price to our estimate of $3,752.15.I wish [redacted] would have reached out to me to get this resolved insted of writing negative reviews on both our website and with the Revdex.com. Regards,[redacted]President

We regret that the [redacted] second move was not to their satisfaction.  We initially moved them into a self storage unit, not our storage and they packed all of the boxes.  We cannot be responsible for goods that are not packed by us, nor while in storage at someone else's storage...

facility. Whether or not they provided protective padding for their goods while in storage I do not know.  they were also given the option to purchase full value insurance on both moves and declined to take this coverage. My men did confirm that two of the men were arguing and disagreeing over the loading and unloading process.  They also advised that Mr. Ligato could not keep up with the 5 man crew and was uncertain where items were to be placed in the new home.  Under his instructions we were told to put the majority of the boxes in the garage.  They did acknowledge that on delivery when they opened the back door of the truck the grill fell out.  They were not made aware of any other damages and nothing was noted on the delivery paperwork.  I take offense to the comment that my men were gloating about causing a lot of damage!  While granted they were not the same crew that did their first move, every man on that job was seasoned movers who take their jobs seriously. We also regret that Mrs. [redacted] broke her arm the day before the move and could not be present to assist with directions during the unloading.  Maybe it would have been in their best interest if they had postponed their move until a later date.  We would have understood and we do not charge postponement fees.  I would also like to point out that on both moves the [redacted] were issued refunds of $562.00 and $496.00 because our men brought both moves in under the estimate.  This was a savings to them of $1,058.00.I am a Marine Veteran who has worked long and hard over the past 32 plus years to build and own a very reputable moving and storage company.  I do not take complaints lightly.  I am fair to our customers and employees and take great pride in our company. I am willing to offer an additional $200.00 as a gesture of good will, plus another $375.00 towards the replacement of their grill.  We have already paid our maximum liability of $48.00 towards the grill under our claim settlement process.  We found the identical grill at [redacted] for $399.00 plus tax, so this offer would make them whole on the loss of their grill.  I am making this offer because my men did inform me that they broke the new grill.  Unfortunately we are not in a position to offer anything else for the alleged damages as we have settled on those under our maximum liability per the contract.Regards,Robert K[redacted]PresidentSimonik Transportation
