C & R Contractors

We contracted Los Concrete Contractor, LLC ([redacted]) to replace out driveway at our home. He did complete the service and we paid him timely, however we recently received a lien notice from a sub-contractor that [redacted] contacted to provide and pour the concrete for our driveway. According to the sub-contractor [redacted] engaged them to purchase the concrete and their terms of payment are COD. [redacted] provided Lake Country Concrete (the sub-contractor) with a check that was not honored on 9/5/13. According to Lake Country Concrete they have tried to contact [redacted] multiple times with no actual contact or a return call. We received a Subcontractor Notice of Intention to File Claim for Lien 779.06(2) Wisconsin Stats. on our property since [redacted] has not paid the balance due for the concrete pour. I've reached out to Lake Country Concrete and was told of the returned check. I attempted to contact [redacted] regarding this issue, I did speak with him and he claims he has no knowledge of what Lake Country Concrete was referring too and assured me that he would contact them. To date he has not contracted Lake Country Concrete and now will not return or answer any of our phone calls. We are now faced with paying an additional 2,265.71 to the sub contractor or they will place a lien on our home. This is completely unacceptable and very unprofessional of [redacted]. We paid a deposit and waiting months for the work to be done and then paid him upon completion in full.

I would warn any other people that would consider doing work with him as he is no longer a respectable businessman.
