C & S Asphalt & Paving

Beware of Asphalt Paving-Martin and Michael McDonald. Contract for back asphalt driveway reads: Specifications for paving, driveway, grading, grass killer, road base and other. All prep and grading, paving with hotmix asphalt, finish seal and (not legible) seal and a five year warranty for $2,900.00 paid in full on same day of service-June 5, 2012. Problems: no road base was applied, no grass killer was applied and no seal coats were applied. He said he would return the next day and put the seal coat on it. The following day he said his truck was broke down and to give him a few days to get truck repaired. The following week, he said he would be by on Thursday to put seal coats down---he never showed up. Then he stopped answering our phone calls or returning our messages. One month later, he said he had family business to take care of and did not know when he would be able to get back to Midland to seal our driveway. After that he totally quit answering our phone calls or returning our messages. Going on five months later now, the new phone book came out and I got a new phone number for Asphalt Paving. I talked to Michael McDonald and he said he would tell Martin about our complaint of Martin never returning to seal our driveway and that now we have so much grass coming through that we have to practically mow it!! Michael also said that he would personnally come by to see our driveway. He never came by. Called 3 more times and heard one excuse and then he also quit answering our calls or returning our messages. I called Martin again on Oct. 24, 2012 and said if he would not honor his word and contract, we would have to start lawsuit proceedings. He returned that call!! He was talking about our front driveway. I tried to tell him that I am talking about our back driveway but he would not listen and told me good luck on the lawsuit!!! So no grass killer, no seal coat and no warranty--this company will not honor their contract and is dishonest with absolutely no moral backbone.
