My name is Sophath K**, manager of CS Collision CenterMy phone is ###-###-#### Here’s our statement of this case: The repairs for Mr [redacted] ***'s vehicle has been completed and delivered on May 1st The customer called and complained the following day that the right front door edge guard was missing, the right front cowl panel extension was missing and also the right rear quarter panel has scratches after he picked up the carThen he brought his car back to usThose were actually not related to the repairs that our shop did according to the actual estimate (Please see the estimate attached to this letter)It was totally the opposite side of the problemThe only thing that was related to the accident was the left front bumper cover that was misalignedSo then we realigned the left front bumper cover and as a courtesy, we replaced the right front door edge guard and buffed the scratches from the right rear quarter panel free of chargeWe told the customer that the right front cowl panel extension has to be ordered and if he can order the parts, we will replace it for himAlso, in regards to the pictures, we only take photos of the vehicle for insurance purposes only and didn’t get a chance to take a photo of this car since this is a COD (Cash on Delivery)Now that we experience this kind of issue, we learned that it’s best to take pictures of every car that comes in to our shop for estimate, We tried to please the customer as much as we can and we knew that we did our best to resolve this matterWe always do our work according to the manufacturer's recommendation and follow the I-Car guidelines to all the vehicles we repair for both the customers and Insurance claimsSo therefore, we believe that our shop DOES NOT OWE anything to the customer and we CANNOT REFUND the services that have been done according to the estimate since everything has been finalized alreadyShould you have any other questions and concerns, please don’t hesitate to call me on my extension numberThank you! mechanic did work on my engine and now the engine is no good.called c&s auto about my 06 ford fusion 2.3 that wouldn't start. Explained that had spoken with several mechanics that would repair due to type of engine. [redacted] said he was certified and could do repairs. Asked about replacing engine verses fixing. [redacted] said he would look and let me know best option. spoke to him again couple days later and he reccomended repairs, said he has done repairs and wouldn't do any work with out first speaking to me.Work would take 7 to 10 days. Agreed to work.Kept calling and hearing excuses why work wasn't done. took a month to get car back, when I picked the car up asked about ticking sound said it would go away when warm, didn't. check engine light came on next day. brought it back. added anti-freeze and reset light. light came on again, brought it back and he said it was thermostat, reset light again. engine making sound brought it back and have been getting the run around that it was now the bottom half of the engine and he's not responsible.Said he would have an engine guy look at it and call, never recieved a call untill he called to tell me the car has been hit in his parking lot. I have tried to resolve the issue and he now refuses to give me the car to have it seen by another mechanic to prove it was the work he has done. owe a balanceand refuse to pay until car is running.Desired Settlementrepars to be made or money returned. Plus the coast of the rental car for the extra amount of time it has taken to get resolved.Business' Initial Response Vehicle towed in with NO COMPRESSION, (Timing Chain Damage, vehicle wont start). I did give [redacted] an option, and she made the decision, I don't decide for people. It was much cheaper to repair what we had, If their was a problem with the work it would of showed right away not 4,400 Miles later. When cylinder head was removed to be sent to machine shop (Check for damages due to timing chain problem), specialist recommended would be cheaper to replace due to valve damage, had to wait to find a USED cylinder head replacement part and re-send to machine shop to be serviced which = Time. Never worked on vehicle or heard car running prior to this repair, if thermostat is no good, Oxygen sensor, muffler, ticking noise, Ect. how are we supposed to know until vehicle is running, not because I repaired the fault with what it came in for means I fixed everything on the vehicle and its all my responsibility, my job was to get the engines timing issue repaired. Customer drove vehicle for 4+ complete month and 4,400+ Miles with no issue and a $965.00 Balance, was supposed to return within a MAX of two weeks to pay off, never came back or called. Four Month Later [redacted] called stating that their was an issue with the vehicle, when vehicle was towed in, Compression tested perfect, engine runs great, has lower engine problem (Knocking) do to poor maintenance or running engine low on oil. Vehicle has very recent Oil change sticker, and oil is in very poor condition, Oil Changed at almost 4,200 Miles after initial repair not 3,000 miles as needed. Car was hit & fully covered by insurance, [redacted] also got a free rental, (Customer ACCIDENTALLY reversed into [redacted]'s vehicle). Insurance paid [redacted] in full to repair damage. My diagnosis proves Timing chain & cylinder head have no damage, I refuse to wasted my time on [redacted]'s vehicle because I have reasons not to trust her, at one point accusing me of right front fender damage on her vehicle, then found out it was one of her kids and never told her. Also insurance appraiser came in wondering why I had not done any repairs to the body damage, they did not want to keep paying for rental, [redacted] had told them that she had paid me $1,811.10 (What insurance sent her) to do the body work and I refuse to do it, That never happened. Leominster Police granted me a trespassing odder on [redacted] due to her behavior.
