consigned from Mr*** to Funmotors appx months ago and at that time Mr*** signed a page consignment agreement at the Funmotors office with *** *** and *** *** Paragraph titled Responsibility for loss or damage, indemnity, release of liability and allocation of risk states CLEARLY that Funmotors is not responsible for issues out of our control with Mr*** trailer. *** *** went over this with Mr***. *** *** discussed contract with Mr***. *** *** was present as well. Funmotors made it clear to Mr*** not to leave any items in the trailer. We kept the trailer on a secure lot, fenced, lit, surveillance, etc. Normally there is a storage fee to Funmotors after the 3rd month. We waived all storage fees to Mr*** which is an appx$value and now we are reported to Funmotors by Mr*** for a "missing" hitch part worth $100. No good deed goes unpunished!. Funmotors spent several hundreds of dollars marketing Mr*** trailer as well. I find it hard to believe someone would take "part" of a hitch??? That makes no sense, yet they would leave the LP tanks, battery, etcwhich are outside of the trailer. Yet, someone would break in, and leave no damage to trailer, and lock it on their way out with a Piece of a hitch? The last time someone thought something was missing, it was reported to *** *** and *** *** and it turned up in the tenants own garage where MrSmith forgot he had put it. Mr*** trailer was empty when it was left with us months ago. Mr*** had keys and access the entire time, if he put a piece of a hitch in it we did not know this. Funmotors has several used hitches at our shop (as it is against our policies to sell trailer with used hitch assemblies, this is a tremendous liability for all parties involved) and have no need for more used parts. We would gladly give Mr*** on of our parts but they are used and this could be a liability for us and unsafe for Mr***. Hopefully Mr*** finds his missing trailer part and hopefully his trailer sells
