starter replaced, solenoid shield installed incorrectly causing damage to 1st starter, second started installed incorrectly causing flex plate damage
Took my vehicle in to have a starter I bought installed. When they put the solenoid cover back on they did not lock it in to place causing it to touch positive connection on starter causing solenoid shield to weld to the starter. I got a replacement starter from the store and he agreed at no cost to install the new starter. Shortly after it was installed it started to grind I took it to another mechanic and he stated that the starter was not properly shimmed causing starter to barley connect to flex plate. Because of this problem I now need a new flex plate installed due to ground teeth. I requested to be reimbursed the labor and parts to have a new flex plate installed by my other mechanic
