Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/25) */
To whom it may concern:
I am writing in response to the complaint made by the insuredFirst and foremost our practice at Bestway is to keep accurate notes on each interaction we have with our clientsOur notes on all conversations with
the insured do not reflect any calls made to change the insured's addressThis would have been done immediately as is our customAlso, the named insured on the policy signed a new *** policy on *** with the address we have always usedHe did not ask to have it corrected prior to or at the time of signingWhen advised of this the insured had no response
*** ***
We understand that the insured was very upset with the withdrawalHowever we can say, with full confidence, that the insured was mailed documentation on the renewal to the address on file, and as nothing was returned by mail, we are to assume it was receivedRenewals are issued automatically by the insurance company to protect the insureds and can only be stopped by the insured with a signed cancellation requestAlso, the insured has been with our office since September 6, and the first monthly payment at renewal has always come out month ahead
We would like to assure the Revdex.com that we are not at fault, and our employees keep accurate and timely notes
We welcome the opportunity to clear this complaint
Kind regards
Bestway Insurance

Review: I was forced to send a garnishment package to this company because [redacted] works with it and can't wait to be done with them and never work through them again. I mailed the package to the address for garnishment paperwork in my state only to have it sent back...They had changed addresses and didn't bother going to the post office to pick up their forwarded mail. So, I call customer service...the least they could do is pay the shipping right? No, guess again. The man that answered blamed everybody under the sun, said that he always checked the mail every day...clearly he missed a few days. They sent mine back because the time to pick it up EXPIRED. I got tired of arguing with that [redacted], he just wanted to keep yelling over the phone like a child so I ended up having to hang up on him.Desired Settlement: Please learn what customer service means. The people that work for you obviously don't know. Spend some time retraining your brain-dead drones so that their brains move before their mouths do.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 8, 2013/10/11) */

CT Corporation's (CT) responsibility is to receive garnishments and other legal documents on behalf of companies that have appointed CT as their registered agent. The registered agent's current address can be found on the Secretary of State website listing for the company in question. Our address was properly updated when our office relocated in August, 2012 and has been correctly reflected on the state's website since that time.

We are unsure where the consumer obtained the old address. [redacted] ([redacted]) forwarding, in place for 12 months, had expired; the [redacted] declines to forward any mail beyond this time period. The [redacted] does not hold mail with an expired forwarding address; the mail is returned to the sender, as occurred in this case. It appears there is a misunderstanding regarding what "expired" means.

We regret the issues the consumer encountered. The problem would have been avoided by use of our current mailing address. Once the incorrect address was used, the procedures for automatic return were driven by [redacted] policy for handling. Amidst the multiple parties involved in this chain of events, we also regret that we were unable to effectively articulate the circumstances in a way that would have resolved the consumer's concerns for CT's role.

Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 13, 2013/10/28) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

They are taking no responsibility for not updating their addresses with the companies that contract with them. They are completely avoiding the main issue of their lacking customer service. This response is pretty much a brush off that blames the [redacted] for mistakes on their end. I'm really disappointed that they feel they haven't done anything wrong here. They had 12 months to update the head of the garnishment department ar [redacted] of their new mailing address and they couldn't handle that? They should be really embarrassed.

Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2013/11/13) */

The person filing the complaint is not a customer of C T Corporation System (CT Corp), and we do not have a business relationship with her. Nonetheless, we continue to work with our staff to better understand the needs of the public, who (as in this situation) need to have their questions answered professionally and comprehensively when attempting to deliver documents to our customers through CT Corp.

As stated in our response, C T Corp did file a change of address with the Secretary of State on September 12, 2012, which is a matter of public record. We have no way on knowing how the complainant obtained the incorrect, out of date address.

Our business practices are designed to meet our contractual obligations with our customers while also providing a high level of service to the public at large. Again, we regret that we were unable to explain to the complainant our role as a registered agent in a manner that would have resolved her concerns.
