Review: After working for several months with [redacted] from Prime Lending, I had received an approval letter for a home purchase with a VA loan. Based on that information, I accepted a contract on my current home as well as agreeing to a contract on a home to purchase. With two weeks out to close on my new home and only three weeks left until my current home is sold, I was informed that in spite of there being no mention of 'manual underwriting' approval being required that and even though my automatic underwriting had been approved that my financing was not going to go through. I am now effectively homeless within three weeks with two small children, including one with special needs, and will lose the approximately six thousand dollars in earnest money, inspections and fees that have been paid on what should have been my new home. I find it completely unethical that in spite of revealing my credit history I was never advised that there might be problems that would stop my loan from going through. In fact, [redacted] (who almost never sends emails-that would leave a trail) told me that she in fact SHOULD have had an underwriter look at this ahead of time but she THOUGHT that it would be ok. Based on her letter I put my home up for sale. She is directly responsible for this. Had there been any discussion at any time regarding the possibility of my loan NOT being approved, I would NEVER have put my home up for sale. She also did not disclose this information until well after the period in time that I could have my earnest money refunded. They even typed the date on the approval letter wrong, making it 2012 instead of 2013!Desired Settlement: I want my loan to be approved and the sale of the new home completed. I hold Prime Lending and [redacted] directly responsible for my current status. I will be homeless and out thousands of dollars due to their negligence.
