I Experienced Racism Against Me For Being Black By The Hispanic Workers
Just left the store workers are racist. If you are not Hispanic they act as if they don't see you standing there. I was literally frequenting this store every day until I was reminded of my color... I went for a sandwich something that takes all of one minute to make but when I arrived both men behind the counter were Hispanic, there was a lady there ordering as if the store belonged to her, but I later realized why. After the Hispanic lady finished ordering her soups or whatever while I thought I would be next the old Hispanic man acted as if he had a call and walked into the back of the deli counter having a conversation as if I wasn't standing there holding a roll as the other lady ordering continued order up the store. I then noticed the older Hispanic guy looking right at me walking from behind the deli counter saying nothing to me as if again I wasn't standing there. I waited for what seemed like an eternity I kept noticing people kept walking over to the deli and then leaving because this one lady wouldn't stop ordering as if she was the only person in the world so I asked a worker if there was anyone else that could help the guy in the deli because he was alone handling this one lady that wouldst stop adding to her order and that's when the worker said no there wasn't; which confused me because somebody just was back there and left; then when I asked the worker again she snapped "You got to wait she's a customer just like you"; which was funny to me because I was questioning where was the other guy to help behind the counter but that's when I realized the lady ordering was the workers family probably her mother which is why she got nasty. I asked another worker can somebody help all I want is a sandwich they literally all turned their eyes; so I asked where was management they point to a room on the other side of the store when I look I see the old deli worker that was behind the counter sitting there watching me along with the female worker that I first approached laughing along at my frustration at this point I'm furious; all of them were Dominican I might add just clearly racist. At this point the other Deli worker was finally making my sandwich took him less than a minute to make yet I had to wait for 10 minutes now I walk over to where these workers are laughing and I saw the deli worker now returning back to the deli as I'm approaching and I went off now the female worker that I realize by now that was her family member that was holding up the line was saying she was the manager lol because never have I seen such an unprofessional and I have worked in management where were told the customer is always right but that's unless it's a Dominican run store and you are African American. I tried to file a complaint to which now security at the door walked over who never did anything to help earlier when I asked could someone help me but now another Hispanic comes between and tells everyone in Spanish to ignore me like I'm not standing there as I'm talking about how the worker literally from behind the deli as he saw me waiting to order at this point I dropped the sandwich I ordered walked out of the store and swore to every God above that I would never frequent that store ever again and I was a regular customer. Racism is real even in Harlem in a Black community Dominicans are racist I'm not sure why they always choose customer service when the only customers they care about are their own. I intend to pursue every action I can against this store. This is only the beginning and C Town what you didn't know yes I am a professional writer !

Blatant disregard of what you say during food stamp purchases
I asked them to charge the food stamps they went and took the cash assistance instead. When I realized what they did I went to the supermarket and asked for either a refund or for them to take it off my foodstamps instead since that’s what I asked and they said they did! What I got was a, “sorry we don’t do refunds!”

On a recent visit the register that I was on was dirty. A pack of meat that a customer left behind was placed on the cashier's table full of blood the cashier picked it up without wiping her hands or cleaning the table she proceeded to take my items cross contaminate everything she touched including my debit card. All the while joking how wet the pack of meat was. No precautions were taken

Review: I am a regular customer at this location. I purchased $300.00 worth of groceries on this specific occasion. I usually don't keep my receipts after I shop for groceries. I went into this location to exchange a few items. The supervisor denied my exchange & was very rude. He just told me there was nothing he could do to help me. I asked for the [redacted]'s info. He told me to leave my info, I called a couple of times to reach the [redacted]. I could never reach him & he never called me back. I've shopped at other C town locations & asked about their return policy & I was told the customer could exchange groceries w/o a receipt but could not get cash back. I'm posting this to let other consumers know how this location has bad customer service.Desired Settlement: An exchange of the items.

Review: I mistakenly purchased an item I didn't mean to buy. I called about 5 minutes after getting home after buying the item which was also about 5 minutes before the store closing. I asked if I could exchange the item and they refused, saying if I didn't get the item in before the store closed, they couldn't accept it. The man I spoke to said if I couldn't get there before the store closed that night I couldn't return or exchange my item. He claimed the item was already bad since it was no longer refrigerated, even though I only live about 5 minutes away from the store, which I expressed to him. Immediately when I got home I placed the item in my fridge which I explained to the man but he didn't want to hear it. He began to speak loudly over the phone and to strongly defend himself against any word I spoke.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back for this item which I was very willing to wake up early to go to the store once it opened to go return or exchange the item. I no longer desire an exchange.

Review: On 2/**/14 I purchased three bags of Broccoli . One bag of broccoli was stale, so I brought them to the store for return on 2/**/14. The [redacted] named [redacted] only wanted to give store credit for two bags, and stated that the store can't refund or give credit for stale products if opened and he would not give a refund. I reminded hin that usually supermarkets give refunds for such products, and that he could get credit from the manufacturer or distributor for stale products, and he said that manufacturers or distributors never give supermarkets refunds or credit for stale products.Desired Settlement: I am entitled to a refund of $1.50 for the stale product, and this [redacted] should receive some managerial training or be given a position that does not involve customer interaction.
