C3 Cyber Club, Inc Reviews (3)

Review: I enrolled my son (age 7) in the C3 Cyber Club summer camp for two separate weeks; July 1-5 2013 and July 22-26 2013. On June 27, 2013 my son broke his arm and was put in a cast that he would need to keep on for 6 weeks. I called the company concerned that my son would not be able to participate in the camp activities and was told his arm would not be an issue. My son went to camp on Monday July 1 and was made to sit out from several camp activities and was told that instead of doing the lego animation in the afternoon, they mostly just played video games. The only reason he wanted to go to this camp was because of the lego animation/robotics activities he thought he would be participating in. He went back to camp the following day and was not even allowed to go on the field trip because of his broken arm. When I went to pick him up there was no one at the front desk and my son was in a room all by himself playing video games on the computer. When I asked why he was all alone he said they told him he couldn't go on the field trip so to go play on the computer. At this point I spoke with the counselor who finally appeared as I was leaving and told him I was not happy that my son was not allowed to participate in the activities and was left alone. I then voiced my concerns about the second week he was supposed to go there and asked for a refund. The counselor said he would speak to [redacted] (office manager) but that shouldn't be a problem.

After two weeks of no follow-up, I called them back and spoke to [redacted]. She was very confrontational and said they don't provide refunds. I mentioned to her that I was only asking for a refund because they were not letting my son even participate in the camp activities because of his arm so why would I send him back. Finally, she agreed to refund me $210.00 (a portion of what I paid for the camps).

Later the same day, I received a call from the owner ([redacted]) where he began to yell at me that because I had a complaint about their treatment of this issue he would not give me any refund. Finally he said he would refund me $150.00, a different amount than I was expecting after the conversation with the manager. He lowered the refund amount after I informed him I was going to let the Revdex.com know and my son's school know about my experience (they provide an after school program for his school).Desired Settlement: I would at least like the refund I was originally promised ($210.00).

**. [redacted]

Please review the explanation below about [redacted]. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact me

[redacted], [redacted] attended one week of our full-day summer camp from July 1st till July 5th. From four days of a summer camp (shorter week because of July 4th), [redacted] attended only 2 days. In those two days he missed one field trip on Tuesday July 2nd -- pool day. The same morning [redacted]'s father and [redacted] (office manager) had a discussion about different options for [redacted]. Both parties agreed that [redacted] should stay inside and do not go on the field trip because he cannot get his cast wet. [redacted] stayed with our half-day summer camp during the time full-day camp was on the field trip to the pool. From 4 days of our summer camp [redacted] attended only two computer classes because he was absent on July 3rd and July 5th. (Attendance record indicate his absence). Monday field-trip consist of a day in the park in which [redacted] had a full participation (photo record of the day in the park). As for playing video games and computer games -- our center is all about video games and computer games, we are the only video gaming center for kids in the area and we are proudly providing our services to children. When [redacted]'s mother called in she was extremely aggravated and yelled on the secretary ([redacted]) and after that she didn't want to have any conversation with [redacted], she inquired that the owner [redacted] would give her a phone call, which he did in an hour. [redacted] would make an effort to explain our polices to [redacted]'s mother one more time and issued her a refund for $150.00 As our contract states, "we do not issue any refunds for any reasons after July 1st.

Sincerely,C3CyberClub

Review: I immediately contacted the President of the Company , [redacted] last night via email and requested a face to face meeting because my son informed me that 2 staff members were intimatiding him. My son is 9 years old. He said it has been going on for awhile but he was trying to pretend to be okay. My son made me aware that they make him play Dodge ball in which they hit the kids in the head, or they have to play ninja and they turn the lights out and make them play in this very dark building that has few windows. He does not like to play the games any longer. They also tease the kids that they are going to put the kids in the trash cans. [redacted] replied and told me he would meet today but he was not available to meet me when I called to inform him I was on my way to his location, he employees informed me that he had not been in all day. I provided my number and asked that he or his office manage, [redacted] call me today and I receieved no call. My sons goes to C3 after school and they pick him up from school. He does not want to go to school becasue he knows that he has to go to C3 after school. This is a serious matter but they only want to exchange emails. I have copies of the emails. In the emails they say the right thing but I have not recieved a call yet and they were not there when I called to let them know I was on my way to meet with them.Desired Settlement: I want them to ensure my son that this will stop. He says they make them play the two games. When they are playing dodge ball or Ninja the kids can not play the gaming system. [redacted] is rarely there so I want him to ensure me that his office manager who is not longer [redacted] is actively on duty and managing the safety of the small kids they pick up from elementary school. I want the safety of my son honored. I want my son to feel safe. Do me favor send someone out to this location to do an inspection.

Dear [redacted]

[redacted] was contacted by our after school program manager , [redacted] the same day via e-mail in which all her concerns were addressed and asked for more information. We had taken the statements from our after school staff members about that matter on the same day. A meeting was set with [redacted] for the next day. She never confirmed the time or her availability for that day. After School Program Manager ([redacted]) and I were presented on site for the time frame the meeting was scheduled. [redacted] come in an hour late by that time [redacted] and I had left the office for our after school program pick up.[redacted] was contacted via e-mail again in which [redacted] explained what was done to prevent situations like that in the future and another meeting time was requested.[redacted] was contacted via e-mail and phone call again to ensure the meeting time.

During the meeting with [redacted] and [redacted] all the issues were discussed and solutions suggested. [redacted] and [redacted] dint express any discontent after the meeting. Please, see e-mail attached about corespondents between [redacted] and I and [redacted]
