I have visited Mr*** home three timesThe first visit was to explain the installation in person and to discuss his motorcycle project, which at the time was not running. I offered to help with any installation questions that might come up, even if I had to stop again. The second
time was to answer further questions about the installation and how to best wire up the ignition and install the coilsAt the time I noticed our newly designed coil mounts would work better and I dropped off a set on my third visit to his homeThis was last year (2014). From March, until early July I have been extremely behind on customer orders and working with some very time consuming projects that are time sensitiveI was contacted several times about possible reasons why our customers motorcycle sometimes ran poor or quit runningWe tried at various times to meet once again at the customers homeSome times I was not able to get done with my trips in time and a few times I contacted Mr*** when I was in town but did not get a reply in time for me to stop. It has not been lack of trying, nor has it been my unwillingness to help figure out why the motorcycle sometimes doesn't runSuggestions via text were the best I can provide without working on the vehicle myself (we do not operate a service department...the offer to help was purely to help a local customer and provide superior customer support...at no charge to the customer). My tools, supplies, and resources are at my home and it would be easier to work on the bike there instead of traveling to the customers homeI have never charged, nor has he ever offered to pay for my trips or the time spent. Trouble shooting an electrical issue on a vintage vehicle is difficult and I would appreciate some flexibilityI promised help installing the ignition and followed through with my promiseI do not feel that it is fair to my other customers to stop working on their paid orders so we can provide free mobile service for just one personThat is not reasonable and I cannot afford to provide that level of assistance since I am a sole operator of a new and growing business. I have contacted our customer directly, offering to try once again to meet and look at the wiring to find a solutionHopefully my offer will be accepted and we can determine if the ignition has a problem or the motorcycle has other electrical issues. Sincerely, *** ***
