The yoga studio was recently purchased and we were told our remaining classes could be used. I had 8 or more classes remaining.
I took a class on 9/5. I could not sign in because one machine was on music and the other was on a general menu. I was told it was okay, they would sign me in.
I took another class 9/10, and there was a notice to see the front desk. The woman signing in after me had the same message. Since the class was starting, the front desk said that they would talk to us after the class.
After class, I was told that I had no classes and that they expired on 9/4. They offered to sell me an unlimited package for 89 dollars a month, or I would have to pay for 2 classes. They then proceeded to tell me that it was $20 a class as a ‘drop in.’
First, I did not know my classes expired. Second why did they wait until after 2 classes to let me know that I would have to pay $20 a class.
I think that this is deceptive and an abuse. I had no choice since I already took the classes.
I want to personally apologize for the challenges you faced during your recent visits with us. As we are still transitioning from *** studio, some client interactions don’t go as smoothly as we’d like them to. Yours seems to fall solidly into this category and I am very sorry. We have new technology and are training new personnel at the front desk and they clearly did not responded properly to your issues.
It should be noted though that your classes purchased through *** did indeed expire on September 4th. This was one year after the purchase date. *** claims that all clients were aware of expiration dates on their packages. Unfortunately, she never had any of the automated systems set up to properly convey this information to her clients. We’ve corrected this problem and automated emails are sent to everyone now. Your classes expired before we had this system in place.
While I can’t re-supply you with those unused classes, I will certainly credit you the two classes you paid the drop-in fee for. I will also provide you with two more complimentary classes (total of 4 credits) and offer you a 15% discount on one of our many membership options. I want you to feel good about CoreSix Yoga, as many others do now. We’ve actually signed up 50 new members in the last month!
We’re remodeling the studio soon and have done a lot of work to get the business functioning properly. I promise that your next experiences with us will be much better.
