Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/04/07) */
Customer vehicle was towed to the garage as a non-start. Customer had commented that he would like for the mechanic to check fuel line since he said that the starter motor was working and that the fuse line was disconnected for him to check...

(the wiring harness to fuse box was actually disconnected).
Once the mechanic begin to check the vehicle for non-start, it was originally determined that the ignition switch was the cause for the non-start.
Upon further investigation by the mechanic, it was determined that the ignition switch was not the reason for the non-start as it was the aftermarket remote starter module that had been installed in line with the ignition switch wiring. The aftermarket remoter starter module caused the main altenator fuse and the fuel injector fuse to blow. The aftermarket remote starter module was removed and the main altenator fuse and fuel injector fuse were replaced. The vehicle was now starting.
The customer was present at the garage for most of the time the mechanic worked on his vehicle expect the last half of diagnose.
The customer was called to inform him that his vehicle was now starting and that his vehicle no longer required an ignition switch as originally diagnosed. It was explained to the customer that aftermarket remote starter module was the cause of his vehicle non-start as it had caused the main altenator fuse and fuel injector fuse to blow. The aftermarket remote starter module was removed and the fuses replaced.
The customer was charged for the replacement fuses as well as 2.5 hrs labour for diagnose which was actually under the amount of time the mechanic spent diagnosing the vehicle. Also, it is standard on very invoice that contains labour to charge a shop supply fee of $**.
Customer did not initially ask to have old parts returned to him. Upon his request for the the old parts, the aftermarket remote starter module was given to him, however, it was explained to him that the old fuses were disposed of as these parts are dispensable.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/04/08) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If they check fuse related with fuel, they could find the reason within 30 minutes.[redacted] When I arrived there, I said I tried to check fuel fuse but could not for lack of tools. Therefore, please check fuel line since starting motor was working.
Thanks
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/04/**) */
The reason the vehicle was a non-start was due to the fact that the aftermarket remote starter (NOT THE STARTING MOTOR) had blown the main altenator fuse.
The fuel injector fuse was replaced as the customer had disconnected the wiring harness to the fuse box.
We stand by our work, therefore; believe that compensation to the customer is not necessary.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 11, 2016/04/**) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I explained the problems and asked to check fuel line specially fuel fuse. The reason I went to the shop is I could not check fuel fuse even I opened the fuse box[redacted]
