portion of the work has been completed at my own expenseThis company however refuses to provide an invoice to me to verify the cost of the actual work it completed on my roof or any documentation that I am in fact paying for shingles covered by a year warrantyOn April 2016, Ms [redacted] emailed me to inform me that she received a check from her insurance company for the recoverable depreciationI replied to her email and asked not demanded, if she wanted to endorse the check from the insurance company or pay by credit card for the remaining balance owedSee emailI’m not exactly sure as to Ms***’s claim of “a large portion of the work has been completed at my own expense”If she is referring to the exterior renovations, this was not covered by her insurance company and is an improvement of her ownI had also emailed Ms [redacted] on the same day to see what time she would be getting off work to make an attempt to explain to her in detail of all her concernsAn attempt by telephone was made but was unsuccessful, therefore I sent an email was also sent out on May to address/resolve any concerns which I apparently wasn’t able to communicate through email clearlyAs a possible solution, for the year shingle that was installed I can certainly have my sales rep meet with her to confirm that in fact a year roof was installed as well as purchased from ABC SupplyAdditionally the firm that this company purports is the manufacturer of the installed shingles according to the website that the company sent a link to offers only year or year warranted productAs previously stated, my sales rep from ABC Supply can clear up and provide a peace of mind that the products used and installed are of quality and can address warranty issuesIf need be, I could have the branch manager clarify any company when it stole more than the mentioned amount from meI have been subjected to credit card fraud by this company when it stole almost double that amount from me while fraudulently claiming costs for higher quality productsI want verification of the quality or lack thereof of the materials used on my residence or at a minimum a fair accounting of the cost of the actual work doneI believe that I have done my very best in explain the concerns addressed and have no issues sitting down to explain furtherI have receipts for materials purchased, I have offered my sales manager and branch manager to confirm quality of products and warranty concernsMy full intent is to provide Ms [redacted] with a service and experience she can certainly be proud ofI have addressed the source of the materials, the credit card processing concerns, and accounting costsI am sorry and more surprised that has come to this point were Ms [redacted] felt the need to reach out to the Revdex.comI thought I had maintained excellent communication throughout this process and will continue to do so

Easy enough, attached is the invoice.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because I still don't have an accounting of the cost that I am being ask to pay. The company refers to my insurance company as the source of payment for this transaction. I went into this transaction with the expectation of a written proposal of work to be done and the cost attached to that. I did not file a final claim with the insurance company in question because the issues that the insurance covered have not been totally resolved. As previously stated in my complaint work was begun and finished on my property without that agreement. While I am totally willing to pay for the work that was done, I expect an itemized accounting of work that was done.  The company was not directed to submit a bill to the insurance company and if I had  sufficient notice of the cost prior to the work beginning I would have been ready to submit the  full cost at the end of the job. Absent a bill and advance notice of the date and time the job was to be done, I was not able to do that. Also, in previous roof replacement I was provided a warranty certificate from the shingle manufacturer and this company does repeatedly denies that there is a need for that documentation. As I was not at my residence when the installation I do not know what was done and I need verification of the work. All I need is an invoice outlining that information. I don't think that it is too much to ask when the company did not feel the need to get a signed approval to begin the work in the first place.

I contacted this company to inquire about replacing the roof on my residence. This company originally quoted a price of $3000 to replace my entire roof. The company scheduled a date to replace the roof but later cancelled the appointment because of other commitments and the work went undone for more...

than four months. On or around 11 November 2015, I first sent over a color chart for single selection which displayed the manufacture and specs of the actual product to be used. On 14 November 2015, the color of Rustic Cedar was selected for color of choice. In addition, the 14th in an email I had requested to schedule the installation after the Thanksgiving holiday. After this date, I had not received any further correspondence until on or about 31 March 2016. After meeting with Ms. [redacted] she had informed me that she had just finished renovations to the exterior of her home which led me to believe the roof was held up for the construction period. I had also resent her a color chart for color selection again for her review. As far as the work going “undone for more than four months”, was due to the holidays or the exterior construction phase, or simply both. In December 2015 the roof received weather related damaged that resulted in an insurance claim that covered replacement of the entire roof and costs related to and inside damages caused by the roof's failure. In the interim I started and almost completed a major renovation at my residence. Unable to find another company to get to my roof during the busy stormy season, I contacted this company again and the company agreed to fix the roof on the main portion of my residence. The rest of the roof (covered patio) was replaced at my own cost during the renovation and the inside damage has yet to be addressed. On 1 April 2016, Ms. [redacted] selected Rustic Cedar as the color of choice for the roof. A start date was established for 4 April 2016. I had made contact with Ms. [redacted] via telephone and she had stated that she would have her daughter pick up her dogs that were in the backyard so we could begin the roof replacement. The materials were delivered by ABC Supply on this day also. See receipt. For the interior repairs, Ms. [redacted] requested that I not perform these tasks for her intent was to have the inside addressed by someone else because she was having the entire inside painted. The inside per Ms. [redacted]’s insurance company had allocated $1,364.40 for the inside damages after they had made their revisions per my inspection of their initial inspection. With the newly revised adjustment through discussions with the insurance company and myself, together we were able to increase the payment for the benefit of Ms. [redacted]. This company offered an upgrade from 25 year shingles to 30 year shingles and charged a $480 upgrade fee. This company took a credit card payment over the phone for the upgrade fee that later showed up on my credit card statement in the amount of $1810.00. On 5 April 2016, Ms. [redacted] stated in person that she did not have checks to write and asked f I accepted credit cards, I said yes. A credit card transaction was made over the telephone with Ms. [redacted] for the amount of $1,810.95. I also explained while on the phone and through email what was to be charged. This included the first check from the insurance company in the amount of $1,278.00, the $480.00 upgrade, and a 3% processing fee for the credit card transaction of $52.75. This totals $1,810.95. This all was made clear before processing the credit card. This company sent workers to install shingles while I was not at my property and prior to any written or signed proposal being established and finalized with me. Even though the process was very unorthodox the installation was done so I signed the completion form and awaited the invoice for the remaining charges Yes, this is correct. I did send out my workers to begin the roof replacement. Ms. [redacted] informed me that she would be at work, her dogs would be removed from the backyard by her daughter, and we were allowed to begin work. When I arrived back to Ms. [redacted]’s house when the work was completed, she was pleased and said she loved the color. This company submitted a bill to my insurance company and the insurance company issued a final check to me for the entire claim. I do not know what details of repair this company submitted to my insurance company and I have requested a copy of the invoice as I still have not received one from this company. I have submitted a detailed invoice to Ms. [redacted] for the repairs which reflect a lower cost in which the insurance paid out. Ms. [redacted]’s insurance company without any upgrades paid out $4,254.15. My invoice was for $4,178.55 with the upgrade. Ms. [redacted]’s insurance company paid $4,254.15 for the roof replacement and $1,364.40 for the interior repairs which comes to $5,618.55. Ms. [redacted]’s deductible for her claim is $1,920.00 which makes her total payout $3,718.55. If you take the $3,718.55 and add the $480.00 for upgrades, brings the total to $4,198.55. This company is demanding that I endorse the entire check to them even though the work that was done is only a portion of the claim and a large portion of the work has been completed at my own expense. This company however refuses to provide an invoice to me to verify the cost of the actual work it completed on my roof or any documentation that I am in fact paying for shingles covered by a 30 year warranty. On 28 April 2016, Ms. [redacted] emailed me to inform me that she received a check from her insurance company for the recoverable depreciation. I replied to her email and asked not demanded, if she wanted to endorse the check from the insurance company or pay by credit card for the remaining balance owed. See email. I’m not exactly sure as to Ms. [redacted]’s claim of “a large portion of the work has been completed at my own expense”. If she is referring to the exterior renovations, this was not covered by her insurance company and is an improvement of her own. I had also emailed Ms. [redacted] on the same day to see what time she would be getting off work to make an attempt to explain to her in detail of all her concerns. An attempt by telephone was made but was unsuccessful, therefore I sent an email was also sent out on 3 May 2016 to address/resolve any concerns which I apparently wasn’t able to communicate through email clearly. As a possible solution, for the 30 year shingle that was installed I can certainly have my sales rep meet with her to confirm that in fact a 30 year roof was installed as well as purchased from ABC Supply. Additionally the firm that this company purports is the manufacturer of the installed shingles according to the website that the company sent a link to offers only 25 year or 50 year warranted product. As previously stated, my sales rep from ABC Supply can clear up and provide a peace of mind that the products used and installed are of quality and can address warranty issues. If need be, I could have the branch manager clarify any concerns to support the roof installation or warranty concerns. Desired Settlement:                       I don’t know the source of the materials installed on my property, whether it is stolen, whether it is discarded hazardous waste both of which could harm me financially or physically or whether it has the ability to adversely impact the value of my property. I have been subjected to credit card fraud by this company when it stole more than the mentioned amount from me. I have been subjected to credit card fraud by this company when it stole almost double that amount from me while fraudulently claiming costs for higher quality products. I want verification of the quality or lack thereof of the materials used on my residence or at a minimum a fair accounting of the cost of the actual work done. I believe that I have done my very best in explain the concerns addressed and have no issues sitting down to explain further. I have receipts for materials purchased, I have offered my sales manager and branch manager to confirm quality of products and warranty concerns. My full intent is to provide Ms. [redacted] with a service and experience she can certainly be proud of. I have addressed the source of the materials, the credit card processing concerns, and accounting costs. I am sorry and more surprised that has come to this point were Ms. [redacted] felt the need to reach out to the Revdex.com. I thought I had maintained excellent communication throughout this process and will continue to do so.
