Thank you for your inquiry regarding your recent stay at White Star WoodsWhen our staff arrived the day of check out we found the toilet clogged and the hot tub was excessively dirty with leaves, grass and debrisIn our rental policy and displayed by the hot tub, we ask all guests to please shower before entering the hot tubThe purpose of this is to keep the hot tub sanitized and to avoid clogging the hot tub filtration systemIf the filtration systems get clogged it will keep the hot tub from heating and can also cause pump damageOur policy specifically states that there is a $fee for hot tub left dirtyThat policy was provided and agreed upon prior to your arrival We called the number on file with your reservation within hours of your departure, asking for a return call and specifically indicated what we found at the cabin upon your departureNo one responded to our requestYour reservation also indicated that there would be guests staying and it was apparent from the un-made beds that more guests were at the cabin than indicatedEmergency plumbing services had to be provided and yes the wet wipes were found clogging the pipesInitially we were not going to charge you because we thought perhaps it was a septic issue but the plumber confirmed that the problem stemmed from what was put down the systemYou are correct we do have signs to instruct guests not to put other items down the toilets because some guests are not familiar with septic systemsWe are a reputable business and strive to maintain our properties for all to enjoyWe did not hear from you during your stay to report any problems that you were having with the commodeSince this situation clearly appears to be a he said she said situation, we will issue a credit for the $

I am rejecting this response because: We, our wedding party, friends, coworkers or family do not intend on staying with this company againSo crediting us does no goodI noticed where it said that leaves and grass were in the hot tubThis was July, there were no leavesWe did not put anything but toilet paper in the toiletI was one of the last people to use the toilet and it flushed fineIt also flushed fine when the last person used it.

shower before entering the hot tub. The purpose of this is to keep the hot tub sanitized  and to avoid clogging the hot tub filtration system. If the filtration systems get clogged it will keep the hot tub from heating and can also cause pump damage. Our policy specifically states that there is a $100.00 fee for hot tub left dirty. That policy was provided and agreed upon prior to your arrival.  We called the number on file with your reservation within 2 hours of your departure, asking for a return call and specifically indicated what we found at the cabin upon your departure. No one responded to our request. Your reservation also indicated that there would be 2 guests staying and it was apparent from the un-made beds that more guests were at the cabin than indicated. Emergency plumbing services had to be provided and yes the wet wipes were found clogging the pipes. Initially we were not going to charge you because we thought perhaps it was a septic issue but the plumber confirmed that the problem stemmed from what was put down the system. You are correct we do have signs to instruct guests not to put other items down the toilets because some guests are not familiar with septic systems. We are a reputable business and strive to maintain our properties for all to enjoy. We did not hear from you during your stay to report any problems that you were having with the commode. Since this situation clearly appears to be a he said she said situation, we will issue a credit for the $300.00.
