Review: On Friday September **, 2013 I attended Mamajuana Cafe/ Fiesta New York in Woodside. Upon pulling up to the front my friend checked her car in with their valet services. When I was on my way home to New Jersey my friend asked me to provide her with cash for the toll. My purse was still in the trunk of the car at this time so I ran out to the back of the car to look for my purse. Upon opening my purse I realized my wallet was gone. I looked in the trunk and all over the rest of the car once I got home and I was not able to find it. I surely placed my wallet in my purse before putting my purse in the trunk. I contacted the owner of the business and he informed me that he has a contract with a second party for Valet Services. He went on to tell me that he has had this same company for 3 years and no problems have presented themselves in the past. I am a paralegal for 3 attorneys in NJ, I mentioned that to him and he then offered me a free dinner. He gave me the phone number to the Valet Services owner who never answered the phone. I will be filing a police report tomorrow. He told me legally there is nothing I could do because my valet ticket states that they are not responsible for Items left in a car, but as a paralegal I know that if there weren't loopholes in every situation lawyers wold not exist!Desired Settlement: I would Like for my wallet and My cash to be replaced. I do not wish for a dollar more than what I had. It is just not fair that people like me, Who business owners make money from can think that their salary can bully you into not pursuing legal action. My wallet cost $138.00 I had a bus pass for the month of October that I never got to use in the wallet that cost me $72.00 and I had $100 cash in the wallet.
