We have customers who co-own or co-care for pets College dorm room mates, friends living together, married couples and more We try to make it convenient for people to do business with us We will have one person call in and make an appointment with us under their own name and then another person will bring the pet in and even yet another person will pay the bill over the phone at the time of service - we like to be flexible for our customers Not always is the person bringing in the pet, the person responsible for finances and the one who is going to be paying us, so we do not question when we have a male owner of a pet on an appointment and a female that is bringing the pet into our clinic.On 12/23/a lady brought in a dog under the name of [redacted] Dr K [redacted] did an exam and dispensed some medicationThe lady had a discount voucher with her Natalee (one of the two receptionists up front) went back to have DrK [redacted] help her figure out the best way to enter the discount in our system before checking her out While DrK [redacted] and Natalee were conversing, the lady left without saying anything or paying anything to our other receptionist (Megan) who was seated up at the front reception desk Our credit card report showed no payment received by her card When I called ***'s phone # on 12/26/to follow up, this lady answered the phone and said she would check her credit card and verify the charge didn't go through and then call me back I never did hear back from her, so I sent the account to collections.I would be happy to recall the collection action in ***'s name if his friend would contact me over the phone and take full responsibility for the veterinary visit that day I sent an email stating such to [redacted] moments ago I have also called [redacted] earlier today to speak with him personally on this matter, but as of 1:PM today, have not heard back from him.We will do what is right in the end, we just need some additional information and communication in order to verify what is right in this circumstance
