I can assure you we do not hang up on our customers We have mailed out separate checks to the customers physical address and to a post office box Neither have been returned nor has the checks cleared We are always willing to correct a problem with our customers We have not heard a word from the customer or his wife until now They are first time customers and waited well over a month to pay their bill It states clearly on the bill that payment is due at time of service We have tried numerous times to correct the issue they have with us however they will not allow it to be corrected

I am rejecting this response because: It's completely false.  They came out on August 23 to do a leak test. When they were finished my wife asked how much the bill was and the guy said "um $524", he didn't even give her a ticket for it.  She said "that seems high for a leak test" and he replied "just make it an even $500".  When I got home from work that evening I asked how the leak test went and she explained what happened.  I called Cactus plumbing to see why the bill was so much for a simple leak test.  He said they pulled up two commodes and checked the water meter. I told him that I know it isn't necessary to pull all the commodes to perform a leak test and he agreed that I was correct.  He said they would refund fifty dollars of the bill.  In all reality they should have refunded more but I felt like that was better than nothing.  As you can see from the processed check that I have attached, they were paid by my wife the day they did the leak test.   You can also see, the check cleared our account on August 26. That proves that their story of us waiting a month to pay the bill is a complete lie.  I also have phone records to show that we have called them several times to get this resolved.  This is less of a money issue than a character issue to me.  We had an agreement about the bill that they have yet to honor.  One of the commodes still leaks around the wax ring from time to time to this day.  As you can see from our credit score, we pay our bills.  Cactus plumbing just doesn't honor their word or do quality work.  I'd say that the cleared check and their lie about when we paid really shows the type of character they have.
