The customer, [redacted] contacted us on 7/15/claiming that his tank was defectivewe asked him to send us photos, and upon inspection of the photos the claimed defect was not a defect at allthere are a few small air bubbles that are visible underneath the black vinyl that covers the back outside of the aquariumthe vinyl itself is applied by handfirst the surface of the tank must be wet to adhere the vinyl to the glass and it is then squeegeed to remove the water, because it is hand applied there is a chance a small air pocket will appearthese air pockets are in no way a defect nor will they affect the integrity of the tank.? we offered the customer a 15% discount on future purchases as a courtesyi have attatched a photo the customer sent us? ? Thank you CAD Lights Aquariums

? I am rejecting this response because:First the seller needs to read the definition of "defect" which I previously provided? Second, no where in the product literature does it mention human error or acceptable tolerances? I have a friend who has the same tank and it has zero bubbles, so this is an exception and a manufacturing defect? I really take exception to a manufacturer telling me, the consumer, what is acceptable? If the tank had a scratch in the glass by their definition that would not be a defect either? The stand up thing would have been for Cadlights to try to make it right by discounting the price? Instead they chose to jerk me around? Well, I can assure them that I will do everything in my power on social media to expose this company as lacking in quality control and no existent customer serviceOh, and their solution to pk the bubble with a pin doesn't work? The backing as they stated was put on wet to get the adhesive to stick? Now it is dry? This stuff is made in China and they don't even know how it was assembled? I am not going away

the main reason is that there is no "Defect" as he is sayingthe adhesive vinyl is put on by hand and sometimes during the drying period a few tiny bubbles can formthis is NOT a defect but a variance or margin of error for anything that is hand made. we define a defect as something that will cause the product to decrease its ability to work at its full intended performancethese tiny micro bubbles do not in any way effect its performance at all and its completely to have a couple of tiny air bubbles sometimes during curing processthis is why his tank is not defective. to eliminate these micro bubbles, he can actually take a pin, poke a tiny hole on the bubble and just push the air right out but most people just leave it alone and not notice it

outside of the aquarium. the vinyl itself is applied by hand. first the surface of the tank must be wet to adhere the vinyl to the glass and it is then squeegeed to remove the water, because it is hand applied there is a chance a small air pocket will appear. these air pockets are in no way a defect nor will they affect the integrity of the tank.  we offered the customer a 15% discount on future purchases as a courtesy. I have attatched a photo the customer sent us.     Thank you CAD Lights Aquariums
