Review: A rather large order for our [redacted] party was placed with Cafe Gia by fax with an event date, and food delivery time clearly printed on the order form. Two days before the event, an in person request was made to increase the order while keeping the original [redacted] delivery time; this request was acknowledged in writing by a Cafe Gia employee. Payment was then taken to ensure seamless delivery and setup. On the night of the event we began with appetizers (ordered elsewhere); it wasn't until approximately [redacted] that I was approached by a guest asking about the food. Here is an approximate timeline of the progression of the rest of the evening:[redacted] - Voice mail left by Cafe Gia requesting at most 30 minutes additional time[redacted] - Call placed to Cafe Gia by my father requesting a status update, he was told the order would be ready for delivery by [redacted] he agreed and our guests were notified[redacted] - Call placed to Cafe Gia by my father to notify them our food has not yet been delivered and request a status update, he was told the order would be ready for delivery by [redacted], he again agreed and our guests were again notified.[redacted] - A guest called Cafe Gia on our behalf, she was notified the food was en route, and that a courtesy discount was being applied.[redacted] - Call placed to Cafe Gia by my father to notify them our food has not yet been delivered and request a status update, he was told the order would be ready for delivery by [redacted], he notified the employee that if the food was not delivered by [redacted] we will cancel our order.[redacted] - Call placed to Cafe Gia by my father to notify them our food has not yet been delivered, he then demanded to speak to a supervisor and that the order be canceled and refunded. He was told that an owner would call him back within the next 90 minutes (which never happened).[redacted] - Food delivery arrives, we refused the delivery because the order was canceled at [redacted] and a new order placed at a different establishment.Desired Settlement: We would very much like the following:1. A promise from management that future customers will be treated with honesty and sincerity and that in house communication will be improved.2. An explanation from management as to why the order was delivered 3 hours late after we were told repeatedly that it would be "another 15 - 30 minutes"3. The charges removed from our credit card.
