If the cake was in perfect structural condition when it left her premises (as she alleges), it would not have fallen apartVery much care was taken while transporting the cake to the location of the partyFor her to claim she has no idea what I did to the cake after it left her premises is obsceneWhy on earth would I take less than exceptional care of the cake that was special ordered for my step-daughter's bridal shower? (even though the name was spelled wrong on it!)Upon receipt of the cake, besides the name being spelled wrong, it was already lumpy and very thinly frostedAfter it sat out (per her instruction to not refrigerate), it literally began to fall apart within hoursAgain, horribly embarrassing for me as the host of a bridal showerAlso terribly disappointing that I trusted a small business to take care of this special occasion and they completely failed meShe should truly be ashamed of herselfSmall businesses need the support of the community to thrive, and to not stand behind their product is just truly appallingFurther, for her to insinuate that I did something to the cake is downright unacceptableHad I accidentally damaged the cake, I would have taken complete responsibility for it and certainly not wasted my time with filing a complaintThis was a last resort for me since I always do my best to support local businesses

If the cake was in perfect structural condition when it left her premises (as she alleges), it would not have fallen apart. Very much care was taken while transporting the cake to the location of the party. For her to claim she has no idea what I did to the cake after it left her premises is obscene. Why on earth would I take less than exceptional care of the cake that was special ordered for my step-daughter's bridal shower? (even though the name was spelled wrong on it!). Upon receipt of the cake, besides the name being spelled wrong, it was already lumpy and very thinly frosted. After it sat out (per her instruction to not refrigerate), it literally began to fall apart within hours. Again, horribly embarrassing for me as the host of a bridal shower. Also terribly disappointing that I trusted a small business to take care of this special occasion and they completely failed me. She should truly be ashamed of herself. Small businesses need the support of the community to thrive, and to not stand behind their product is just truly appalling. Further, for her to insinuate that I did something to the cake is downright unacceptable. Had I accidentally damaged the cake, I would have taken complete responsibility for it and certainly not wasted my time with filing a complaint. This was a last resort for me since I always do my best to support local businesses.
