Cailey Jewelers takes great care in our customers items and great pride in the relationships we have with our customersThis incident was an unfortunate one to have happen and Cailey Jewelers did apologize to Ms***Cailey Jewelers did have a situation happen with the center diamond upon sizing of the ringWith great care and professionalism Cailey Jewelers cleared the issue with the center diamond and we are fully confident that in doing so we have made the ring whole once againCailey Jewelers apologizes for any inconvenience we may have caused Ms***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Although Cailey Jewelers reports that they have corrected their very serious mistake, I was able to consult with an independent jeweler who reported several concerns about the integrity of the ringCailey Jewelers had the opportunity to speak with this jeweler and is very aware of what issues remained, which are not limited to the center stone that Cailey Jewelers admits to damaging Simply stating that the ring was fixed is not sufficient I was not even able to have a full appraisal done at the other jewelers because of the many issues found with the ring I requested that the ring be replaced by Cailey Jewelers, which is the only acceptable outcome Cailey Jewelers seemingly feels that the original ring is in excellent condition at this time; therefore, I would not see why they would hesitate to replace it and to be able to keep the original ring that they did work onI had made this offer to Todd at Cailey Jewelers This would clearly mitigate any loss on their part, unless, of course, the ring truly is damaged I'm am disheartened that an individual who runs a business in the very community I reside in would not be honest and not properly correct their mistake, despite making claims of integrityCailey Jewelers has offered no other proof that the ring is in the new condition that it was when I originally brought it there It should be noted that I owned the ring for just a couple of days before I first visited their shop Although an apology is admirable, it does not restore my ring to the brand new condition that it was in Thank you for your attention to this matter, and please advise if my next step should be contacting NJ Division of Consumer Affairs Regards, [redacted] ***
