The account was placed with us by our client (***) on 3/8/Despite complainant’s assertions that *** notified Caine-Weiner several times that there was no balance due, we did not receive word from them until an e-mail on 5/13/advising us that the account had been paid a month ago at
that point. Subsequently, we requested credit reporting deletion on our next trade tape to the bureaus (5/31/16)This is the desired resolution as indicated in the complaint belowIt likely has been deleted from credit at this point, although we can’t vouch for the timeliness of the bureaus in deleting items from their records. We have sent validation of debt to Ms. [redacted]. She claims she has never had insurance with [redacted]. It is possible that there is more than one [redacted] in Barstow, CA. We simply pass info along to the credit bureaus and they attach the given collection item to the individual's report. We are giving consumer the benefit of the doubt and are requesting that this item be removed from the credit report. Once consumer has had a chance to review the validation sent, we would encourage her to contact us or [redacted] to resolve.

Our office received the account from the creditor in August of 2016.   Written correspondence was sent to the consumer.  There was no mail return and the consumer did not at any time respond to our office.  Additionally we were unable to reach the consumer by phone.  The consumer...

filed disputes directly with the credit reporting agencies.  In response to those disputes our office mailed the consumer the documentation from the creditor indicating the balance is still due.  There is still no mail return.  The consumer has yet to contact our office by phone.  As a courtesy to the consumer and in an effort to allow the consumer time to resolve the matter amicably with the creditor, our office has submitted deletion requests to the credit reporting agencies.  The consumer is encouraged to contact our Vice President of Compliance at [redacted] with any questions.
