Did not repair roof leak. Changed vents instead and overcharged. Never came back to fix leak.
Do not hire Cajun Roofing. I got ripped off for $800 dollars and still no leak repair. They asked for $400 up front for supplies. They changed all the vents on roof and didn't secure them to roof took about an hour. The vents were cheap plastic vents Money hungry salesman. I tried to get in touch with Joey to let him know the roof was still leaking. Had to hire someone else and spend more money cause he never called or showed. He didn't stand by his warranty at all. They are a scam.

Desired Outcome

I contacted *** at channel 10 and he did say he would call Joey Leger and talk to him, but never heard back from ***. I would love to get my money back.

Refund from contractor who never started job.
On Feb. 4, 2020 I was contacted by Joey *** with cajun roofing about roof repairs through home advisors. He gave me a proposal of $3800. He told me that the material would have to be paid for up front and that he would accept $3100 down, with the remaining $700 balance due upon completion. After not showing up when he said he would on Feb.5, I contacted Joey and he said he would bring the paperwork that afternoon. Again, he stood me up. On Feb.10 Joey was informed the job was cancelled and I wanted a refund. He texted me on Feb.18 saying he had a lot going on and he was trying to returned the material. My last communication with him was March 2 and he hasn't answered me back. I'm only interested in getting my money back. He signed the proposal admitting he received $3100. cash with balance due upon completion.

Desired Outcome

I would like my money back. I've lost confidence in this business.

Joey L Was paid in advance to provide and install a metal roof on my property. He started the work and took several months without completion!
He has not been back to the property and the work is not completed up-to-date. The metal is rusted and I have over 40 photos and a contract stating the work that was supposed to be completed. Joey L is a crook and needs to be locked up for good!

Desired Outcome

I want my deposit of $7,500 returned to me and I will pay Lafayette Roofing to complete the roof project properly.

I Jason *** Hired Joey *** of Cajun Roofing for my roofing repair needs, as a result no one has ever showed up for the job to be done.
I Jason *** hired Joey *** of Cajun Roofing November 10 2019 thru home Advisor, I then Payed Joey $2,225.00 that he said needed for Materials, I haven't heard from Joey for a week, so I text messaged Joey to see when the work would begin, he said he was still getting materials together for the job, waited another week and contacted Joey again asking when work would begin, I received same answer of he was still getting materials for the job, I contacted him another week later and received the same response, I then told joey that I no longer want the job to take place that I would like to be reimbursed for the charges, still to this day of 2/1/2020 im still getting excuses that he will credit the cost back to my credit card and never has done any type of credit back to my card or account.

Desired Outcome

I just want to collect the $2,225.00 that he has charged me for the job.

The roofing job took way longer than needed, always had something missing.
Now that it is complete I have leaks and get the runaround from owner.
The company installed the roofing on part of house and it seems OK, They also modified an extension roof ,changing the pitch of the roof because of leaks.
The job was called finished.
About a week later a rain storm came through and the extension roof leaked. Called and texted company owner and he said that he would be right over, but he didn't come.Text were sent to him starting on Dec.9 2019
Eleven text have been sent to date Jan.18,2020.

Desired Outcome

I would like them to honor their warranty and fix my roof.

we did the roof months ago and they said it never leaked until just recently when the hard wind storm hit with 60 mph winds the other day. We have been there several times to fix it but I guess we didn't fix it. So I think he was just tired of it leaking and us not being able to find the problem. But we still go there to try and find the problem

The first rain after roof was considered complete, it leaked. His carpenter came to look at it and we used a water hose to check it and it leaked. He tried to solve problem, but could not. He suggested that I contact the company owner.
We texted several times and one time he responded that he would be over to check it, but never showed.
Tried to call his cell number and he didn't answer. Left a message to call me with no results.
The leaks are coming from the vallies on both sides of the roof that he modified. He guaranteed that water that was standing in the vallies would not cause a problem ,but it has.
He has been hard to contact all through the construction of the modified roof. Even his employee couldn't reach him.
All I want is to have a roof that doesn't leak. We have carpet that got wet and pulled up and buckets to catch the water.

Please fix.
Thanks

Cajun Roofing was hired to fix a roof leak; inspection later showed he only washed the roof; did seal it as agreed and paid for.
Kermit "Joey" Leger was hired 11/4/19 to fix a roof leak with an estimate of $3,677. He wanted a cash down payment of $2,500 which I gave him. A couple of days later he called to say he priced the wrong sealant and the correct one was more expensive. We settled on an additional $1,500 (for a total of $4,000) which was paid to him on 11/11/19 from my USAA credit card to his "Square" account. Leger charged $3,250 to my card later in November without me knowing. When I found out, I had the roof inspected and the inspector said Leger did nothing but wash my roof and crimp a small piece of metal where the water was entering. He even damaged the seal around the exhaust pipes on the roof with a power washer and removed some paint from my metal roof. All said, he charged me $4,000 to wash/damage my roof, and stole an additional $3,250. There is a warrant out for his arrest as of January 6, 2020.

Desired Outcome

Mr. Leger is a thief and has a long criminal record I was not aware of when I signed the contract with him through HomeAdvisor. He has paid me back the $3,250, but now finding out about the $4,000 for no services, I want to get that amount back from him, and I want to see him incarcerated before he hurts anyone else.

The job was done and she paid with a credit card and it accidentally over charged her card but I fully refunded her by paying cash..

The excess charges were not by mistake because I only received that portion from the company after repeatedly asking for over 5 weeks, and finally threatening legal action.

Also, after having his work inspected, he did not perform the service I paid for and referenced on his proposal.

The independent investigator told me he did crimp some bent metal on the ridge and power wash the roof which should have cost maybe $500, but he charged me $4,000!

Contractor was paid to install roof on shed and was paid. After paying an inspection revealed roof was not complete.
On 12/20/19 I hired via Mr. Joey Leger to install a shingled roof on a RV metal frame. Leger was paid $2200, check number #634 on this date. The following day the work began, and on 12/24/19 Leger sent me a text message stating that the work was complete. Due to my being in the hospital, I advised him I could not furnish final payment until 12/25/19. At 6pm on the 25th of December, I put the final payment of $210.18 in my mail box and text Leger as to where the final payment could be found. On the morning of 12/26/19 I inspected the roof and found it incomplete.(missing shingles. In addition, I observed that there was no felt under the exposed roof as was required by contract. Also, no drip edge was installed per contract. Upon making this observation I contacted Chase Bank and stopped payment on the check in the amount of $210.18.(final payment)
The roof is unsafe and has to be completely removed and installed.

Desired Outcome

I do not trust the contractor and will only except full refund in the amount of 2200.00. I am going to have to hire another contractor to take down the unsafe roof and re-install.

Cajun Roofing Response • Jan 22, 2020

I'm not sure what is wrong with ***'s job cause he hasn't contacted me about it.

Customer Response • Jan 23, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Mr Leger was contacted by me on December 26, 2019 and notified that the roof was not complete. This contradicts his statement on December 24th that the roof was complete. The roof was so poorly constructed that it had to be torn down and replaced by a professional roofing company.

Customer Response • Jan 31, 2020

Hi
Yesterday, the contractor Mr Leger was arrested and made a full restitution to me.

Cagin roofing was hired to clean gutters. Was told multiple repairs that were needed. They tore up roof causing it to leak.
On November 12, I requested an estimate for gutter cleaning thru Home Advisor. I was immediately contacted by several companies, the first being *** owner of Cajun Roofing. Mr. went on the roof to look at gutters. In 30 minutes, he was on the ground showing me pictures of "problems" on my roof such as incorrect flashings, gaps, nail holes, etc. I was surprised because the roof was only 2 years old. He wanted to know who had done roof. When I told him, he then said he has had to repair this company's roofs many times and showed me pictures of the repairs he had made. He also said I should take care of this ASAP as he thought the roof was unstable. He said he could get to it next day and I would need to give him a check for supplies in amount of $1674. I gave him Check and he went directly to bank to cash it. Next day on November 13, he came to house and said he needed another $6500 because he had to replace a lot more materials than he originally thought. I gave him a check for that amount which again he immediately took to bank and cashed it. On November 14,he again asked for additional funds $682.76 for supplies which I gave him. At this point he has torn off the roofing and it is leaking. The roof leaked onto furniture and two computers, one of which will no longer work He brings a tarp to cover after repeated messages from me. On November 15, he says that he has completed job and needs $5300 to cover cost of labor and insurance to pay the crew he hired to finish job. I paid him the amount. After the next rain fall on, I realized the roof leaks even more than it did whe he put the tarp on it. The roof did not leak before Cajun roofing did any repairs. He used a pressure washer to wash out gutters, but ruined leaf guards in gutters. Also one gutter came loose and fell to ground. One of this has been repaired and the roof continues to leak. I am extremely disappointed in this company and feel that I have been overcharged and scammed. He has never furnished receipts or pictures proving damage from him. I have repeatedly contacted him with no satisfaction whatsoever. The last contact was on December 11 telling mr *** that roof was still leaking. He said he would "come by"and take a look. Have not heard from him or seen him. Please help.

Desired Outcome

Firstly, I want roof and gutters to be repaired. Secondly, I want receipts for supplies he purchased and to be reimbursed for monies not used for supplies. Thirdly, I want proof of labor charges and to be reimbursed for money he charged me for insurance, taxes, and workman's comp that he said I owed as well as providing Documentation of charges.

Do not hire Joey *** with Cajun Roofing! Job was done and complete however, he did not pay one penny to the workers and their boss is about to put a lien on my property! He lies and has all the excuses in the book! This is ridiculous....he's doing people wrong and needs to be stopped!

Cajun Roofing was contracted to install drains to drain water away from our house. Drains are not draining water away from our house.
Cajun Roofing was contracted to install drains to drain water away from our home to the street. In the process of installing the drains near the house the drains were set too low; therefore, water is not draining from the side of the house to the street. See video of water backing up in the drain and flooding our patio behind our home.

Desired Outcome

Cajun Roofing needs to fix the drains so that they will drain into the street.
