Cal-Tex Enterprises Reviews (7)

Caltex was sent by the manufacturer (Marvel) to repair an outdoor refrigerator After numerous attempts to schedule a service call, the appointment was made and a technician arrived to make the repair The refrigerator was malfunctioning again by the end of the day When I contacted them, they suggested the rubber seal on the door was dirty and refused to come back I went back through the installer and Marvel again had Caltex contact us to make the repair Again, their scheduler did a very poor job When we finally agreed to a date and time, they didn't arrive I called to complain and the "manager" refused to let me speak with the owner, refused to give me her name, and then hung up on me and would not answer when I called backThis is certainly not a reflection on Marvel or the outdoor kitchen designer we used It's a reflection of incompetence and poor customer service on the part of CaltexI wonder if the owner(s) are aware of what their employees are doing to the business' reputation

This company dose not returns calls, sends out staff that are not trained to perform the repairsI have no idea how they manage to stay in business If you have to deal with this company I would suggest looking for an alternate from day

My experience with Cal-Tex, was very impressiveMy tech
Fernando was quick to complete the job( heating element replaced)
Fernando checked my washer at my request and then added pointers as to how to maintain my washer
Thanks you Fernando

Cal-Tex was responsible for the Loews' extended warranty work on my Samsung refrigerator. They fit me into their schedule on the same day I called when Loews said the next appointment was not until a week later. Issac, the repairman, was pleasant and professional and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had to order the part and repaired the ice maker on the next working day. It was a very positive experience.

Greetings to all who find this,
Do yourself a favor, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!
I have a leaking refrigerator, purchased from Home Depot. So the malfunctioning ice maker dripped down the front of the refrigerator causing surface damage to the left french door and water/ice chute. Cal-Tex came out, assessed the problem and "fixed it". A week later it started pouring water again, "Not Fixed." The young man that came out was the same to respond to the second service call. It was then that he agreed the door was damaged and needed to be replaced. Following so far?
- defective ice maker unit
- caused damage to my refrigerator door
So it's come to this, the door was denied. According to Home Depot, it wasn't added as additional damage. Cal-Tex just asked for one, called it replacement due to some kind of damage, that isn't covered anyway. Unbelievable! So I've wasted hours of my time explaining the situation to Home Depot. Finally it has been accepted as covered.
Summation- Cal-Tex has some MAJOR ISSUES!!!
1. You HAVE to do a better job ordering parts for your customers.
2. Who ever the lady is in your office that answers the phone.... Oh My God! You seriously need to find someone else to deal with your customers. And I am not the only one... Read your reviews... She is pretty bad on many fronts.
3. I really liked your tech (the young man that came out to my house). And I found him very knowledgeable. The problem is at your front end and delivery of the product. I'm going to assume that she probably orders your parts too. It would make sense, weakest link and all.
Anyway, moving on...
