I was on a long trip from March - March 22, When I returned to my home on Tuesday night, March 22, I arrived to find that my front yard had been dug up so that Texas Gas could replace an old gas meterNot only did they do this without my knowledge, but they turned off my gas to do this, so I returned to my home at Midnight to no hot water I called to get my gas turned back on and discussed my concerns about my yard being torn up without proper warning (a ft portion of my concrete walkway was gone and I had a 4fthigh dirt mount right off the curb)They sent a TGS person out to my house on Thursday (two mornings with no hot water) to get my gas turned back on the following day, which required me to work from home that day The dirt mount stayed in my yard for over one week, so I called TGS to see when they were planning on repairing my yardThey sent someone out on 3/(I believe) and had a crew in my yard on 3/to "repair" my yardI was out of town again and had a friend send me a picture of the work they didIt was 100% unacceptable, as there was no grass left where they dug up the gas meter and my the chunk of my sidewalk that was (and still is) missing was filled with black asphaltAdditionally, they turned off my gas again, so I returned home, yet again, to no hot water I called early the next morning upon my return home and spoke to someone by the name of MeganAfter she let me explain what was going on and why I was upset, she told me that the work they did was temporary and that they were going to order concreteI had to tell her that I expected them to replant sod so that I have grass againShe said that she would add that to her notes "to make sure that was done"Really? You're going to dig a ftlong hole in my front yard, demolish my grass, and you need to add a "note" telling the crew that I expect them to replant it? That is asinine This brings me to todayMay 23, My front yard is still a messThe 'temporary' asphalt that was laid in place of my missing concrete has now sunk into the ground because of the rain we've receivedThe dirt pile that was once fthigh is now a sunkcrater that I fear is ruining my large oak tree I have called over times about this issue and keep getting excusesI was first told that the project was delayed because of rainThen I was told that there is a backlog on concreteToday, I spoke to a floor manager named Steve and after reviewing my account, he said, "This is not good." I was told I would get a call back today and, of course, I did not I am getting taken advantage of and am a few days away from taking legal actionThey demolished my front yard and don't seem to care

I paid the gas company the amount that they said was overdue on Friday of last week they are not able to give me And appointment because they claim that there are no appointment times available so I basically have to miss a day of work being a single mom with three kids who just had to pay $to the gas company because for eight months they didn’t feel the need to let me know that I was overdue even though I am enrolled in paperless billing and I am enrolled in automatic bill pay because my bills were not being removed from my account I was penalized I have emails confirming both no one of the gas service who is taking my calls has taken the time to even help me they all give me the same excuse that I have to wait for that window of time to get my gas connected because I have to be home they won’t give me a smaller window they won’t allow the technician to give me a call an hour before so that I can make it home they are basically telling me that I have to wait an additional week

First, I would like to say I have been a customer of TGS for almost years, not by choice, because there is no other option for natural gas service at my addressI have never missed a payment and have always paid in full automatically every monthWe did a renovation on our home which we opened all the necessary city permits for Upon completion of the work, our inspections passed and have been closedThey were all finalized a week ago and we were issued our COOWe moved back into our home and contacted the gas company days in a row to have the gas turned onThe first time they came out, they put a lock on the meter and said they didnt have confirmation the permits were finalizedHere we are a WEEK later and even though I called the city and had the lead inspector personally contact the gas company to release the hold, they gave me an order number and told me it would be turned on today but no one ever showed upYet they are still charging us the "service fee" but are essentially keeping us from using the service we pay forWe have not been able to cook meals, or heat our houseWe cannot use our dryer and we have no hot water to shower or clean withThis is infuriating and completely unacceptable
No good customer should be treated the way I have been treated by Texas Gas Service

Texas Gas Service disconnected our service without any advance notice because of a bill we had that was past due, which the company did not even inform us aboutWe set up auto-pay when we started services with them, but they never charged us or sent any form of billing statementInstead, they waited for the bill to become past due, and disconnected our gas without any warning whatsoeverSince there isn't another gas company that services our area, we are trapped into dealing with their shady business practices if we ever want to cook anything or take a hot showerWe paid our bill within minutes of learning of its existence, but were told by the company that they would not reconnect our service for five daysFive days where we cannot cook or effectively wash dishes and clothesTheir refusal to admit any wrongdoing is intolerable, and we will be pursuing them relentlessly with complaints and potentially legal action if necessary

I had my gas turned off due to non payment, I paid my bill and all the fees that come with thatBut my family and I will have to wait days until it can be turned on againThey expect you to pay the past due balance right away but can't get the gas turned back on for an additional days? So basically, my child has to suffer too? I can't cook for or bathe my child for days and eating out is not an option

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer serviceAnd they LIE to youHad a scheduled appointment for new service at my new houseWe have not moved in yet, and the email confirmation they sent did not have an appointment time or windowIt also said no one needed to be presentMy wife is pregnant and we had a Dr appointment the morning of our set up appointmentWell I got a call from a blocked number (which my phone automatically sends to voicemail) and had a message from the technician who sounded rather rude/smug stating someone needed to be there and we would have to rescheduleI called their customer service and was told the email I recieved stated someone or older needed to be thereMy email CLEARLY STATES "There is no need to be present; however, we will need safe access to the natural gas meter on the scheduled date"Even spoke to their supervisor who insisted the email stated someone needed to be there as that is their policyWhat a way to start a relationship with a company

It's a shame there's no other option in Austin, which is, of course, why they're so awfulTo be fair, it's not the individuals I've spoken toThey've all been perfectly politeIt's their "research team"I requested gas service Thursday and got all the information requested of me to them by FridayIt is now the following Wednesday evening and I still have no hot water or gasThey refuse to schedule an appointment until I can make an account with them and I can't make an account with them because the things I need to provide them with are not yet readily available and they didn't tell me in advanceIf I had known, I would've gotten it to them by nowBut their research team is apparently the one that makes those decisions, so evidently it was impossible for me to be toldI can, of course, never speak to said research team on the phone because they close before the customer service office does, and I barely get out of work before that office closes to begin withYesterday, they told me the earliest I could schedule an appointment was TuesdaySo we have to go over a full week without gas, except we can't get it scheduled for thenI'll have to keep showering at someone else's house and hope it doesn't get too cold out because I have no heat or hot waterAnd anyway, even if I do get an appointment, an adult has to be there to receive them- and they may arrive at any point during the day, so I sure hope I can set that upBelieve you me, if there was literally any other service available, I would use it

My gas was shut off due to a billing issue on the end of Texas Gas ServicesIt is degrees outside and there are people, dogs, and an elderly cat that live in this houseI have contacted TGS and given a run around about my payment and how they seem to have misplaced my bank account informationNow the entire house has to spend nights without heat and without an explanation as to whyIt was expressed to me that they use a third party for payment and that the third party would have more informationThis third party told me that TGS would have more informationNeither service gave me any information nor attempted to keep myself and my roommates from freesing in the cold although they were more that willing to take payment, after charging me more for shutting off the gas

I lived in a residence for nearly years and NEVER missed a paymentAfter moving out from this residence, I received a final bill of $I called Texas Gas Service and told them to take it out of my $deposit and refund the balanceThe first person that I spoke with explained that I did not have ANY depositThis Texas gas service representative said, she would have someone research the history and find out if I had a deposit and get back with meShe gave me a fax number ###-###-#### or send proof to ***
Again, I received another final bill, so I called and spoke with another Texas gas service representative who seen proof I sent a copy of my deposit slipHe didn't understand why I would have a final bill and he would have someone research it and get back with meI did not hear back from him, and again received another bill which I spoke with a third representativeThis representative used an excuse saying, I must have gotten credited for my deposit in th

Hello
I got my services disconnected for non payment I paid it the same day I was pregnant and hospitalized for months in which I didn't keep up with my bills I have a week old newborn infantI told the gas company to please turn on next day Apparently per policy I have to wait days before they turn on services It's the middle of winter and it's cold They also stated that if I wanted to have my services turned on next day I have to pay an additional fine of 67$ I have to wait until next Tuesday for my gas to be turned on They don't care that I have a newborn plus I had a major surgery C section just to have my daughter

I had a faulty EFV (excess flow valve) repaired in JanuaryThis involved a large backhoe to dig up the area where the faulty EFV was locatedRepair was successful but the landscape was left in shamblesI was told to call Texas Gas Company to open a ticket to repair the landscape and a supervisor will reach out and schedule a repair appointmentFast forward to early AprilI called Texas Gas Service multiple times to get my open ticket escalatedTwo weeks later, I finally get a supervisor to come out and "repair" the landscapeAll they did was flatten out the dirt and left the area in a barren stateDid not any receive communication from the supervisor about the completion of the jobI reached out to the supervisor who contacted me and had no responseI've contacted Texas Gas Service in mid May about the completion of the job, was told a supervisor will reach out to meNever received a callThis has been an ongoing cycle of calling the company, being told someone will reach o

Worst customer serviceThey only give minutes to be at location and don't even give a call (requested a call, they say I didn't)Was l wife was unpacking downstairs and going upstairs and they claim that they knockedSupervisor *** #*** didn't attempt to bring anyone out initially until I refused her apology and she claims it was my fault for the missed appointmentI don't understand how a company cannot provide a hour time block for an appointment, it's horrible to have to wait all day (8am unto close) to have service turned on

I just purchased a home at *** *** ** but upon moving in Friday, I noticed I had no gas (which runs the hot water, stove and heater) had been disconnectedThe Gas Company was conveniently closed on the weekend but also failed to leave a notice of any kind so I was unaware who to callToday I started searching for my gas company and after attempt I found Texas Gas ServicesThe woman on the phone was nice, but she informed me that I could not have my service returned until Friday and not only that, I need to be present so I have to take a day off of work to be available even though the gas was shut off with no such requirementBy the way, I have children in the home and this complicates things with no hot water
My question is, does this company suppose to at least supply some form of notice so I may contact them and get my issue resolved before it is an issue? I do not have a choice as far as I know what gas company I can use, so when you have a monopoly provider you must ha

Texas Gas Service shut off the gas at our house with no advance notice, and no notice whatsoever that our bill was past dueWe set up auto-pay on our account with them when we first had the service hooked up near the end of MarchWe were told then they we likely wouldn't receive our first bill for six to eight weeks from that pointThe auto-pay account that we set up did not get charged at any time, and we received no form of communication from the company indicating that our bill was dueWe were also given no advance notice that our service would be cut off if we did not payWhen we contacted the company, we were told that even though the company failed to notify us of our bill, we are at fault for not checking to see if we had a bill that needed to be paidWe were also told that they would not be able to reconnect our services until the sixteenth of July, five days from the day they cut off our gasWe will effectively be unable to cook anything or take hot showers for five str

I moved to *** *** *** ** Austin Texas in an apt in March and only stayed the term of a year leaseI called Texas Gas service on February 21st to schedule termination of services for starting at midnight on March 1st and was informed that the services would be put back under the apartment building on Midnight on March 1st I moved out February 28th 2018, as plannedI get an automatic draftfrom Texas Gas Service on March for the final bill of $Then, March 23, Texas Gas Service autodrafts another $from my bank accountSo I called the customer service line, and was told the latter charge was for the March billI infor.ed them Again, I did Not reside in that address on March 1st nor any time there afterThe agent said she would refund me $I called my bank directly after and had them reverse that charge and requested that company never withdraw future fundsIts now May 7th and I have a Final Bill Reminder from Texas Gas Servi

I had my gas cut off on October 27th, due to a credit card change, and overdue paymentsI made a full paymetn and new credit card registered within minutes of the gas being cut offThe issue is that I have no paper or email record of any overdue warningsI only have yahoo email records of e-bills sent in 2016, the last of which is September
The result, of my, self admitted, credit card changes and non payment or $121, is that Texas GAs cannot reconnect my service for daysDue to having children in my house, I shall be forced to go to a hotel or rental property
The inability of texas gas to be able to respond within days is completely unacceptable

I forgot to pay my bill and the service was disconnected I realized this is my errorHowever, I work full time , I have a very active school age daughter who is involved in extra curriculum activities and I am caring for my year old motherThe gas company cannot reconnect my service until Wednesday, which is six daysI am told this is the earliest they can come outI have paid my billThis is not acceptable or fair to customers

The worst company I've ever had to deal withWould love to use anyone else but they have a monopoly and I'm forced to deal with them

My autopay for my gas account stopped working on our primary residenceWe use the same account with autopay on a rental property, that would kept working for an unexplained reasonWe did not know it stopped working and I am sorry that I do not check our $gas bill regularly to see thatThey came and disconnected our gas service on 8/I called and they said they tried calling on 8/I checked my phone log, a blocked number called and left no voicemailThey said they sent a notice in the mail, never got it
Paid as soon as I got the notice on the door, but customer service said the soonest gas could be restored was days laterSimilar stories to previous reviewsStill in disbelief their policy is to disconnect someone's service right before a holiday weekend, and then claim it can't be reconnected until after that weekend as they don't work on the weekendAnd that's not even getting into their notice process is one phone call two weeks before with no voicemailA public utility should not treat people this way when they have a monopoly on a service
Have a month old baby, now have to find an AirBnb on a holiday weekend in Austin for nights
