Spoke with ***, and I also went back to see the e-mail that *** sent, it was for a chimney trim repair, once *** finished the Chimney , they asked if *** would hang doors,Jay said he would take of itWhen
*** took the rotted trim off, *** then saw that the wood under the rotted trim was also rotted and had termites*** told both *** and her husband they needed to get an exterminator to come out and then replace the rotted wood under the trimThey both did not want that and the husband came out with a can of spray, not meant for termites*** explained to them that if he replaced the trim on to the rotted wood under it, it would be a temporary fix, and the cause of that seemed to be due to termites present
*** still wanted to replace only the trim, so *** got the biggest screws, and said to *** and her husband that it was going to be hard to lock in the new trim to the rotted wood under, and they gave the go ahead for the repair*** than started on the doors*** had to take each one off, and replace the hinges, and hang them backAll of the door hinges were old brass, and *** wanted a more modern look*** had purchased satin nickel hinges
When the work was done, they both approved of the final repairs that were made and signed off on the invoice for repairs of the chimney and the doors that were hungThen *** wanted *** to build a fence around their swimming pool*** could not start that project due to already having another job to start the following day
We were not requested to do the replacement of hinges of doors, they added that after chimney repair was done. *** had contacted us for a chimney repair only, but a lot of clients add other repairs
Also she has never sent any e-mails or photos, that I have seen stating anything of the complaint that she has made to the Revdex.com
*** will have to keep replacing the trim as long as the wood that is under the trim remains rotted and with termites
Some clients always add repairs after a bid is given, and some do not want to spend or take care of unforseen repairs, and want a quick fix, then want to blame the contractor
I would like to see the e-mails *** has said that she sent to Calderon Carpentry, and I will again look for the e-mail of the complaint, but at this time I have found only the request for the repair of the chimney*** was charged $for Chimney trim repair and the replacing of door hinges, hinges to each door, door taken down and door placed back on hinges
We do not feel that we should pay for the amount requested from ***, since both her and her husband were advised of the proper repairs, along with the termite infestation under the rotted trim we did replace, with their approval.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  The information stated is false.    Calderon Carpentry did not inform me or my husband of any termite issue.   We found ants, not termites and sprayed for ants at the site of the chimney repair.   The vendor never stated anything to us that the chimney repair would be a temporary fix or that there would be any issues with the repair.   Again, we do not have a termite issue at our home.    The vendor also did not give us an invoice to sign off on as stated.    I originally called the vendor to our home for a chimney repair, I asked if they could hang some provided door hinges for us for an additional fee as agreed upon.   They hung the door hinges first inside our home and then started the chimney repairs.   This is contrary to their statement given.   Also false is the fact they state I never sent emails or photos.  I did call them, sent photos, texts with photos ,and emails to give them an opportunity to repair their mistakes.    They stated they would come by when they were in the area.  I have attached to the complaint the correspondence I had with Calderon Carpentry.    I gave ample time for them to make the repairs, but after weeks of them no longer responding I had to call another vendor to fix their mistakes.   I would furthermore like to point out that Calderon Carpentry gave out my phone number to another client to use me as a reference.   That other potential client called me for such reference.    I did not give them permission to give out my phone number.    This is a violation of privacy.    I am still seeking monetary reimbursement for the money I had to spend for another vendor to correct their mistakes.    Thank you,[redacted]            Regards,
