The rebuilders of these remanufactured starters charge the dealer a $[redacted] "core charge"extra if we do not send the defective starter back for rebuilding and resale. If the customer wishes to keep his defective starter they would have to pay...

this "core charge". This was explained to the owner but that answer was not accepted.Core charges are an industry standard with remanufactured auto parts.
